And ditching our allies in the middle of the battlefield to be slaughtered by the Turks, Russians, Iranians and Syrians creating a giant vacuum of leadership and power inevitably filled by a resurgent ISIS will have no negative repercussions at all.
Ever heard the expression,"they don't buy our lunch"?
No. Ever heard the expression "The way of fools seems right to them but a wise man listens to advice."

It seems more appropriate in this case. Trump is a fool who thinks he knows everything better than every expert on the planet. He is simply wrong in this case.

Nothing we can do about it, time will tell.

That is, sorta by definition, the characteristic that makes one run for president in the first place.

I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that I’m going to think I’m a better political director than my political director.

Ah, nothing like a quote attributed to Obama by some other person while being interviewed.

Yes, politicians by nature need to be egomaniacs. But what Trump is doing is way beyond that.

Well, there IS something we can do about it in just under 2 years.

Pulling troops out is great idea. We still have tomahawks and cruise missiles, drones etc... why waste American lives? The missiles may be expensive, but how much is an American life worth?
