Do not open!
Re: Do not open!
The gubernatorial election, because it wasn't signed into the state constitution in time because of our crazy batshit lunatic fuckhead of a governor LePage, was not ranked choice this time around.
Because it wasn't ranked choice my vote didn't count because I voted for an independent.
However, in the other elections, my vote did count.
Kinda nice isn't it?

but, i also like the idea of the VP being the runner-up (as used to be the case) and not a part of the presidential ticket

Re: Do not open!
Now Bruce Poliquin, who looks like he may loose the election because he didn't get the majority of votes, is suing to stop what the people of Maine voted on.
What a fucking sore looser.
A. It's not unconstitutional - if so then all versions of run-off elections are
B. He's suing after he found out he might loose, not before
C. His party is all about power to the State and now he's being a whiney biatch and appealing to the Federal government
D. Say it gets overturned, how happy will the Maine people be, that A. they know they voted for a system to elect their representatives and now because of this representative, their will/that decision was reversed and B. the person who was the cause of reversing the will of the people is now the representative.
Go Golden go.
