My installer said the early 90s custom homes in my subdivision have a ton of foil in the attics that affects signals.

Small price to play for a 12' deep pool that grandfathered!

Until recently I had DirecTV (TV only) with scads of channels for about the same amount. Now, I have Comcast/Xfinity cable with internet 297.7 Mbps download and 21.7 Mbps upload speeds, and phone for ~ the same amount. Several people who have cut the cord have asked for my Netflix password, but Feral don't roll like that.

recently switched to Youtube TV. Couldn't be happier other than lack of surround sound, which apparently they are working on...?

Still have Sling. Really like it outside of the dispute they had with Fox Sports recently, but they got it solved after just a couple of weeks.

Sling, ESPN+, Netflix and antenna is perfect for me and my family.

Exactly what I have but I also have Amazon Prime. Most TV sucks anyway, so I don't miss cable. Local channels are sometimes tough to get consistently if it is cloudy or stormy, but otherwise I like it. Maybe need to adjust the location of a few digital antennas.

The killer in all of this is THE ONE CHANNEL my wife insists on having is TCM. She loves those old shitty movies. And sorry, a lot of them are shitty.

Really hard to get TCM without paying through the nose. Is it available on Apple or one of these others? I'm still looking to cut some more cost.

We have spectrum and tcm comes with our package. I watch it a couple times a week. Some of the movies aren't real good, a lot of them are classics for a reason.

Since we moved into this house about 3 years ago I've been trying to justify dropping cable, but the bundle packages were a good deal at the time. Bill kept slowly climbing, so I finally ditched cable TV and Tivo when I noticed 175/5 Mb comcast internet for $90/mo. Picked up Youtube TV, plus we still have netflix and amazon prime (and HBO through comcast). Probably cut $50/mo off our bill, and thrilled with Youtube TV so far. Every bit on par with Sling.

So far the biggest difference in streaming TV that I've found is actually in the device & app, versus the service. When I used Sling last it had a terrible lineup grid interface, but it turns out that was due to the Roku I was using at the time.

If anyone has Sprint they can get the basic tier (with limited commercials) of Hulu for free.
