Yeah, if it interested me, I might feel as though I’ve missed out. The winter months mostly get filled with NCAA ball, NFL (that’s waning now too), and following the EPL. That transitions nicely into MLB and MLS, and all to less and less.

Having the Today show on right now, I’ve apparently missed the Jonas Brothers, a time apart, and now Sansa getting them back together.

People like to criticize the ncaa tournament for various reasons, but man, I know the schedule well, it's the same every year, Thursday/Friday round 1, Sat/Sun round 2, then sweet 16 starts again on Thur/Fri, etc. I mean, even during the regular season you know Saturday KU is playing, then either Mon Tue or Wed night they play again. You get in a rhythm. I missed game two of the nba finals because I forgot about it. You can't get in a rhythm with it.

couple that with any time a series goes 2-0, 3-0 or 3-1 I kinda loose interest in the games, since I don't have a rooting interest in a team, and it's really easy to miss NBA games even during the finals, and I never feel like I missed out on anything after the fact.

that era also featured young Lebron on the up-and-up, when he was still the hunter more than the hunted, and before the era of The Decision/s and getting to play GM for himself.
The Heatles era right after that was also OK with me except they won the east every damn year (I've always hated Wade).

But, my god, the hatred the Celts had for Miami when Ray left hadn't been seen since the 90's.

I get why some don't like the NBA.

GQ is pretty great, though. Every NBA thread: "I DON'T CARE ABOUT IT, HAVEN'T WATCHED IT SINCE THE 90'S!"

And, you gotta love: "NBA IS MEH, HAVEN'T WATCHED IT SINCE 91!"

That's like a little joke in KC: "No one goes to Oklahoma Joe's anymore because the lines are too long."

I’ve been to 3 nuggets games in 18 years of living in a city with an NBA team.

Didn’t realize I posted in all the nba threads. If I do, it’s just cuz I’m dumb. I’ll probably continue to say I haven’t followed in 30 years, bc 30 years is a long time to do anything!

And, I don’t think I’ve ever begrudged the game or the players as the absolute best athletes around, it’s simply not compelling to me.

This said, I do like watching Stephen A. Smith with Max Kellerman. Except for the last few days in Oakland with Kellerman wearing those sunglasses. Wtf was that? But seriously, Smith without Bayless is awesome.
