Thanks, Illy.

Nah.

I didn't critique what you did. I only noted that SHE would.

Sorry.

Seems like they were both enjoying the scenery and enjoying someone else admiring the scenery.

I shouldn't have even mentioned it.

but for real you guys, that race was a blast. And cross-country skiing in general. I've got the bug to keep pushing myself, and get better times in future races. I think if I had grown up with it I coulda been a badass skier in college. Coach shoulda put me in back in '82. I'd have gone pro.

but yeah, if it's been a while since any of you guys broke a sweat, I encourage you to do so. There's no better high than a good endorphin rush. Especially when you're stoned.

"I shouldn't have even mentioned it."

Why, because an ignorant, uninformed prude didn't approve?

That's the last thing anyone should consider when posting.

While not a competition I periodically ride in these supported bicyling events - typically on a Sat or Sun - anywhere from about 35 - 100 miles. Most of the ones I ride are metric century (100 km/63 mi) The big one is the Lake Tahoe Century aka America's Most Beautiful Bile Ride. It's 72 miles around the Lake and a 28-mile out-and-back to Truckee. Training for a ride like this is a lot of fun and endorphin rush comes at the end of finishing a challenge. I was really worried if I would finish about half way through the Tahoe Century but I could have gone another 20-30 miles when I finished.

Can't comment on the stoned part.
