Here's the Speaker Herself explaining why she tore the speech up.
They are both wrong. A fine example of how America has become so divided that we are cheering on childlike behavior depending on which side of the fence you sit. Silly, all of it.
For once, stop with the whataboutism while trying to excuse your abject defense of Donald Trump. He honored Rush Limbaugh who has said the kinds of things about women that Speaker Pelosi takes exception to. Your hero disdained every woman in the audience and every woman watching with the formerly important honor.
"What does it say about the college co-ed [Sandra] Fluke who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex—what does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex."—Rush Limbaugh, referring to a Georgetown Law School student who was denied the right to speak at a congressional hearing on contraception, in which she planned to discuss a friend of hers who needed contraception to prevent the growth of cysts, February 29, 2012.
"A Georgetown coed told Nancy Pelosi's hearing that the women in her law school program are having so much sex they're going broke, so you and I should have to pay for their birth control. So what would you call that? I called it what it is. So, I'm offering a compromise today: I will buy all of the women at Georgetown University as much aspirin to put between their knees as they want. ... So Miss Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here's the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch."—Rush Limbaugh, March 1, 2012
"It doesn't look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary dietary advice. And then we hear that she's out eating ribs at 1500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat ... No, I'm trying to say that our first lady does not project the image of women that you might see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue or of a woman Alex Rodriguez might date every six months or what have you."—Rush Limbaugh, Feb. 21, 2011
"[Obama] wouldn't have been voted president if he weren't black. Somebody asked me over the weekend why does somebody earn a lot of money have a lot of money, because she's black. It was Oprah. No, it can't be. Yes, it is. There’s a lot of guilt out there, show we're not racists, we'll make this person wealthy and big and famous and so forth ... If Obama weren't black he'd be a tour guide in Honolulu or he'd be teaching Saul Alinsky constitutional law or lecturing on it in Chicago."—Rush Limbaugh, July 6, 2010

I was talking about the ignored handshake and the speech tearing, kot about his awards.
My hero.....youre high, or i hope you are if youre gonna make statements like that. You've done nothing but sling insults at everyone who disagrees with you.
So, just to clarify, trump's actions were reprehensible but Nancy's actions shoild be celebrated? You didnt think she was being childish?
Or is this one of your jokes, i hear youre often not serious.

Or would you say youre just prejudice against republicans? Theyre not a race, so you cant be racist against them, but you CAN be prejudice against them.

I chose not to watch last night. What are the ”antics” Nancy Pelosi did?

TDub:
Trump turned the SOTU address into his preferred format--a TV Reality Show. Speaker Pelosi simply responded to his destruction of one more American tradition.
So, some more things that your guy awarded the formerly esteemed medal to Rush for saying:
"I'm a huge supporter of women. What I'm not is a supporter of liberalism. Feminism is what I oppose. Feminism has led women astray. I love the women's movement—especially when walking behind it."—Rush Limbaugh, responding to criticism that he is sexist and defending his selection as one of the judges at the 2010 Miss America Pageant, "Fox News' Fox & Friends," February 3, 2010
"Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society."—Rush Limbaugh
"We're not sexists, we're chauvinists—we're male chauvinist pigs, and we're happy to be because we think that's what men were destined to be. We think that's what women want."—Rush Limbaugh
"She comes to me when she wants to be fed. And after I feed her—guess what—she's off to wherever she wants to be in the house, until the next time she gets hungry. She's smart enough to know she can't feed herself. She's actually a very smart cat. She gets loved. She gets adoration. She gets petted. She gets fed. And she doesn't have to do anything for it, which is why I say this cat's taught me more about women, than anything my whole life."—Rush Limbaugh, on his cat
"Women still live longer than men because their lives are easier."—Rush Limbaugh in 2005
"She sounds like a screeching ex-wife."—Rush Limbaugh, on Sen. Hillary Clinton
And sorry, but I don't have the quote where he called a 13 year old Chelsea Clinton a dog.

She tore the copy of his speech that he'd given her (without shaking her outstretched hand) into two pieces and put them on the speaker's bench.

In addition to making faces and rolling her eyes all night.

Well, of course, when it's a male Republican shouting out, You Lie, that's not a problem to you. But a female in charge, we already know your attitude.
In fact, The Speaker did very little of what you accuse her of--but I guess if you don't call her the C-word, that's enough.

I think the handshake snub was probably intentional...and he'd never admit otherwise now...but he did say "thank you" as he handed her the stuff and it's not like he shook Pence's hand and then ignored Pelosi. He didn't shake either of their hands. It's possible he just didn't see her reach out as he was turning. It happened pretty fast...but I don't think he deserves benefit of doubt many instances, so...
But let's not pretend the snubs started with the handshake snub...Pelosi had a snub of her own prior to that by how she announced him entering. Which is fine. Whatever.
Both of them look stupid. And it's sad that those 3 on the screen the majority of the night are the best 3 we could find for their positions.

That's such an incoherent mess that I can't even translate it into "not crazy".
I don't remember ever defending the "you lie".. likely because I didn't since I didn't even know what you were talking about.
The speaker of the house yelled "you lie" at someone (Obama I'm guessing)? Is that what you're talking about? I don't remember that. If it happened then I'd feel the same as I do about the classless moves made last night by both of them.

What all was he lying about? Because the fact checkers are always on him and just about everything he stated as stats were true.

You've played this out. My favorite of the Dems was/is Klobuchar...said it numerous times....so your incorrect assumption about me (because I'm a man and you assume republican) only makes you look silly and costs you whatever little credibility you have left on the subject of misogyny.
It looks weak on your part whenever you assume that a man can only disagree with a woman because he thinks she's inferior. Makes me wonder about your own insecurities.
