Re: Kicks
I like shoes.
I also can’t understand why anyone would care how gutter spends his money. Or anyone else for that matter.

Yes. Yes, they do.
Defense. Rebounds.

Wasn't directed specifically at you Gutman.Grandma wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 6:29 amI'm glad you're glad.jeepinjayhawk wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 7:26 pm Yeah, so glad I don't feel the need to wow someone with my sneakers.
Seems at times you feel a need to "wow" people with your vehicles, homes, travels, etc.
To each their own.
If you don't care about the "sneaker culture", and how/why people enjoy it, and that many people make a great living because of it, fantastic and so be it.
I happen to be someone who does care about it. Feel free to fault me for it if you choose to do as such.
Spend your money on whatever you want, it is your money.
Re: Kicks
He can spend money however he likes ( anyone can ).
I still have the right to call someone who has 70 pairs of sneakers a looser.
And he/and all can call me a looser for calling him a looser.
It's fine to call people a looser. Let's not loose that ability because we are too sensitive to being able to call people loosers.

I'm fine being called a looser. It's when I'm called a tighter that I get sensitive.pdub wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 4:28 pm He can spend money however he likes ( anyone can ).

Everybody has something or does something that is out of the norm.
Of course some have/do more than others. I have a sneaker fetish/obsession/hobby/whatever anyone wants to call it. I'm well aware of it.
I also have a hat and t-shirt fetish/obsession/hobby.
I'm able to eat, clothe myself, pay my rent, and for fun I am able to do what I enjoy doing which is travel and attend sporting events and concerts. I am able to still save a little money.
I don't drink or do drugs anymore so I get pleasure from different sources. Buying (sometimes selling), wearing, and displaying my shoes being one of them. I'm a-o-k with it.

I still drink, play in the desert, build Jeeps and dabble in real estate.
Whatever gives any of us juice as individuals....I say do that shit
Re: Kicks
Good for you for doing those things you enjoy!
Plenty of regrets in my life. Often I wish I still drank. I wish I could play in the desert (or near the desert) on a more frequent basis. I wish I still had my Jeep (which was my favorite of all the vehicles I owned). I wish I had dabbled in real estate.
One thing I enjoy and don't regret (yet) is "collecting" shoes. Maybe I should say amassing instead of collecting. I have a female co-worker who told me she doesn't get it. I told her she doesn't have to get it and that there are many things about her that I don't get. What I do get is that we are all different and different things float our boats.
What also floats my boat is traveling and being that the virus is fucking over our planet, my guess is traveling is going to be a shitty experience for me (and most others) for the foreseeable future. That's assuming I even have the option of traveling. As extreme and doubtful as it may be, I wouldn't be shocked if "unnecessary" airline travel is all but shut down at some point.
As Gutter says too often - IT'S JUNK!

People that want KU to punt the big 12 without trying to win it are loosers.pdub wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2020 4:28 pm He can spend money however he likes ( anyone can ).

Grandma wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 6:37 pm Devonte' is a huge sneaker head and posts pics of what he gets when he gets them. I am always jealous.
Nike hooks him up big time.
I think someone posted about the Air Diors but I can't find the post.
He just got a pair I think during the All-Star break.
They are $2000 a pair retail.
Haven't dropped (been released) yet. People are seriously offering $25,000 for them. CRAZY!

I'm always interested in seeing/hearing what other people have. PLEASE share anything you have that you really like on this tread. I know, that's opening a can of worms but have at it.
I'm no Devonte' but I hit the 70 mark today.
4 most recent pairs I acquired.
Copped these today

Bought these two pairs on StockX a couple of weeks ago.
Was lucky and got these. People were paying up to $1200 for them. I was dumb and kept them.

Maybe like these, maybe not. Worth sharing even so.

Never have before. I probably wont wear them in public but theyre great for around the house/yard and they look like boots with jeans. Public is redwing work boots or ariat shitkickers. Or if Im feeling fancy my cinch X cowboy boots ....those were my wedding boots.Feral wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:27 pmGotta admit, I've never pictured you as a Hush Puppies Chukka boot wearin' kinda guy.TDub wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 10:34 am https://www.bootbarn.com/twisted-x-mens ... gKiHvD_BwE

Dtae is a Jordan Brand athlete who also happens to play for Mike's team. Not to mention he is one of the few decent players on the team means his rep can get him just about anything he wants.
