You ever even been in Mississippi, DC? Or rural Georgia?

I'd guess not.

But I'm not a Republican who admitted that the Southern Strategy was wrong--and I never heard him mention Jimmy Carter.

And pardon me if I don't respond to your exaltation of Ronald Reagan and his condemnation of the South to another generation of violent racism. I might have to evacuate my house tomorrow, and don't have time to read your attempts to normalize the worst of violent Southern racism.

Aw, DC, in the same year that your St. Ronnie promoted a return to racism with his campaign kickoff in Neshoba County, I had the scary experience of following an out of state, Harvard educated black guy, in my rental car on a two lane road in North Louisiana when a Highway Patrol zoomed up behind me with blue lights lit up and then behind him. As I sorted through trying to think of anyone I could get hold of late on a Friday afternoon to get this Barack Obama kind of guy out of a North Louisiana jail, the Patrol zoomed on off. The consultant, that I'd only met 2 days before, told me at the airport how frightened he'd been. Years later, when I recounted the story to my husband, he said that we'd both been correct to be scared to death.

But, you go right on pretending that States Rights in Neshoba and Klan rallies in Charlottesville, why they don't have nuthin' to do with rilin' up the Bubbas to commit the kind of dastardly acts they been used to, ya' hear.

And now, I really do have to spend my time looking at hotels to see which ones might take 2 dogs in case the fire gets closer and I have to evacuate.

Man, so this all went down in February?

The shooters had already tried to block Arbery’s path once, so he turned around.

Two prosecutors have already recused themselves, and a third seems to suggest the guys were acting in self defense cuz “Arbery started it.”

What’s the holdup? They trying to buy themselves time to confirm whether he had weed in his system?

Trump has stirred up the Bubbas to think they can go out again and kill black men with impunity, but that started with Reagan.
Started with Reagan huh? I see.

The two dipshits who shot him. I know that's crazy, but when I see a murder, I blame the murderers.
No way. It was Thomas Jefferson. He stirred up the bubbas.

Of course it is only on the shoulders of the two fucking morons that committed the act.

Any blame for the system that has spent damn near 3 months not bringing these guys to justice?

Blame them (system) for the murder? No

Blame them for the delay in justice? Yes.

Well maybe the bubbas wouldn’t act like they can get away with murder if the system didn’t delay the administration of justice?

If two black guys chased down a white jogger and shot him to death, you think they’d still be sleeping in their own beds 3 months later?

Bear in mind, this is once again a cell phone video away from these guys saying they feared for their life and walking free.

Who says they won't walk free? I give them a 50/50 shot.

I think it's about 99% chance they both go to jail.

Depends on whether the press stops covering it before they find a prosecutor willing to risk their career.

Started with Reagan huh? I see.
Former UN Ambassador Andrew Young, an African-American, charged that with his support of states' rights, Reagan was signaling that "that it’s going to be all right to kill niggers when [Reagan is] president."
Wikipedia.

Perhaps you know more about the South better than someone who was Mayor of Atlanta?

Thanks. This was some scary stuff last night with about 500 people evacuated. We have no news today as we have no local media in our county. At the last update last night over 500 acres had burned and the main highway was closed.
