3 dogs and 2 cats? I like animals but not too sure I could deal with 5. My Uncle at one time had 6 dogs and 3 cats. Granted he had a lot of property but he had a small home. I would feel like I was living in a barn or a zoo if I had 9 animals in my house with me.

Ive got a little acreage and none of them are in the house full time. I let a couple in for bits of time but not often

I would love to have 3 dogs and 2 cats - if I had the property/and a house. Seems you do.
Gives me something to look forward to when I retire.
