Hoarding money means you're a sociopath.

Yeah, cuz I got a 10 figure bonus.

But you guys have inspired me to donate to a local food pantry.

And by local food pantry I mean, stock some ramen noodles in me and beav’s cupboard.

For real though, I’m inspired to pay this one forward now, I should do something altruistic.

Back to original question:

Doesn’t a bonus normally come with some kind of heads up about it?

If you get a bonus you're immoral. Work less hard, money is evil.

Any money besides purely existing is unnecessary and makes you a deviant. Immoral soul, repent!

I think he has a moral obligation to give away all his money until he's as poor as the poorest person. Anything else is greedy.

Lemme guess...that whole 40 post ramble was just all a joke..like the rest of your lies.

Lying is immoral.

Morality is all relative.

Lying, like greed, only applies to freeloading poor folks trying to exploit the system for things like food stamps.

That used to be me, but not any more. Now that I have a cupboard full of ramen, I’m a pretty much a financial elite, so I play by my own rules now.

Do you have the pay statement? It should call it out separately if it’s a bonus. It’s because the gubmint wants the employer to withhold more tax from bonus payments.

Yeah, it’s listed under a line that just says, “misc pay.”

Part of me wants to go all THANK YOU THANK YOU but part of me thinks if they didn’t feel compelled to say anything to me about it, then I shouldn’t bother either.

So it’s not like they accidentally gave you the money, unless it was the work of someone in payroll who felt like (s)he should reward you for “services rendered”. Keep it, and give some to the less fortunate

I don't mind giving you something free, you seem to be struggling.

I'm more concerned about the space inyour head that you're giving away for free for all the succesful and productive people you're so worried about.
