His first order of business is to retain Chavis, Drake and Jones. Then go get young and hungry assistants to the do ‘crootin for you. Kids these days generally commit to the assistant then they do the overall HC.

Wait, what?
You need him to get like #8 ranked recruiting classes and turn them into 6th place finishes, in conference.
That's like 4-5 conference and 6-6 overall.
yeah, I'm talking longer term. That would be the goal for a typical season when his first contract expires.

First we need him to take the players who are here and get 5 wins over the next two seasons.

I think #1 is to prevent a mass exodus.

I mean, easier said then done with young men, but if they just look at his record, they see that his shit works.

This guy doesn’t distribute Snickers bars. Seems pretty focused. Honestly what is needed. There were plenty of ways to rationalize losing the last decade or so. Don’t think lack of effort will fly with this guy.

Asking for Matt Taint.

Looks like he can score points, which is always fun. I bet we see his OC come with him. On board with that.

The part that excites me the most is that if he has a good QB, he'll scheme to throw all over the place. But if he may not have a good QB, he'll have a game that they'll run so much and maybe throw just 10 times a game.

He honestly doesn't care what the scheme is, he will do what it takes to win. He's not going to force-feed a system that doesn't match his players (Les, Beaty)

His defense has always been NASTY too.

If we can get a semi-competent performance out of the offensive line, this team as a talented stable of running backs that would thrive in the system Leipold has been using the last couple of years.

Don't be shocked if he brings some Buffalo players with him, specifically OL.

Bring some current Buffalo OL to Lawrence within the next 2 weeks while the sun dresses are still out.
