I honestly think his whole MO is getting on these kind of lists.

Team him up with Michael Bay and you have your one seeds.
For sure. He loves it. He knows what he's doing.

But I thought he was good in Matchstick Men, Adaptation and Leaving Los Vegas.

This would be my #1 answer, but there are a fair amount of people that think it's good, so wasn't going to start a shitstorm.

the Critters movies of the late 80s were pretty bad

Ha ya, if a horror movie has an antagonist small enough to drop kick, it deserves to be in this thread

Critters so good, so bad.
Tremors.
Ghoulies.
You can put a lot of horror on here.

I'll throw in Mazes and Monsters.

Talladega Nights.

Although maybe it's just good. Hard to say.

Congo.

Talladega nights is goofy SNL humor, so never really supposed to be taken seriously in the first place. They seem to embrace being bad, rather than think they’re being good.

Congo kind of applies. I just watched it the other day. But it also doesn’t have that WTF appeal quite like some of these others.

Tremors is a good mention. Loved those movies growing up. Kevin Bacon and Mr. Miagi and Reba McIntyre as some vigilante gun nut lol

But yeah roadhouse might be the best worst yet

Starship Troopers is a good call too.

Again, I guess I’m caught on some criteria that the movie seems to take itself seriously

No.
Putting Talladega Nights on this list is actually a fail.
I think you missed the point of the assignment.
I will give you partial credit for Congo.
