I think my new strategy for local elections is to just vote for whichever candidate didn't come ring my doorbell with their dumb kid, hand me a laminated flyer that gets thrown out, and wastes 5 minutes telling me their background.

Is that reasonable?

Yes

I made a vow that if I didn't care and/or was impartial, whichever candidate (and/or their campaign workers) sent me the most "fliers" would NOT get my vote.

I made a vow that if I didn't care and/or was impartial, whichever candidate (and/or their campaign workers) called me on the phone the most would NOT get my vote.

I made a vow that if I didn't care and/or was impartial, whichever candidate had the most commercials on TV would NOT get my vote.

Not literally Hitler at all - but closer to being Hitler like than the vast majority of other people in this country.
Agree? Disagree?

Comparing something to Hitler isn't the same as comparing it to the Holocaust.

A comparison to Hitler could refer to a number of things. The Holocaust was specifically systematic genocide of people because of who they are born as.

But both words start with an "H", isn't it reasonable to skip the rest of the letters and equate two words when they start with the same letter?

Let's try and see how it goes.

So, "contrarian" and "conviction".
