He owned Kansas and Self as much as you could.
channeling a coupla posters?
I meant that it's tough to 'own' Kansas and Self.
5-4 is maybe the best you can do.

Yea.
I'd give Jay a B+ vs KU and Self.

Is there a transfer portal for coaches?

Sorry, couldn’t resist!

I really liked him as a coach and a person. Hopefully he’ll resurface at a college close to us and play KU more often

Maybe Self can hire him as an assistant after they can Townsend as the sacrificial lamb. If ya can't beat 'em, join 'em.

What a weird deal. To each his own, mazel tov, and so on, but...man, don't you at least SEE if the NCAA chases Bill?

I think it's hard for a guy in his situation to leave for some other school after building what he has built there. Nova ain't Kansas, but following a legend like Self isn't something everyone wants to take on.

And also, by the time Self retires Wright would be old as shit too.

Although if he does "want" Kansas or the Lakers or wherever, then a few years on TV would take the sting away from the Nova fan base....but we don't "know" his intentions yet either. All speculation at this point. But at least it's not from that 1 dude that predicts all the incorrect KU stuff.

That's not what I meant (but I can see why you read it that way).

I meant more that Wright and Self were clearly set to be the class of their coaching generation. Wright could have separated himself if Self got axed.

Ohh gotcha. My bad.

Yes. Or just to see what life is like with K and Roy gone for a few years.

I doubt he wants to go anywhere else. He turned down a huge offer from UCLA some years back. He gave Villy 20 years of his life. That's a pretty good chunk of time. I don't blame him for wanting to take time off.

Yep, the throne is his for the next decade if he can take it.

I don't see how this adds any pressure to Self. We are superior to Nova.

Since 2007 nova has been a 9 seed 3 times, a 12 seed 1 time, a 6 seed 1 time, and missed the tournament 1 time.
