Nope.
Phil Lesh side note. I posted this on a public forum not too long ago. I loved Carol Lesh. She taught me how to play the Xylophone and Glockenspiel.
If nothing else, read the last few sentences.
This morning I was reminiscing about Carol Lesh and the fact that she told us she was related to Phil Lesh. I did a quick Google search and found this gem.
Miss Lesh: A Career in Glencoe
Longest-serving is Miss Lesh (remembered by some as Mrs. Mann), who will have spent her entire career – 33 years – in Glencoe schools. Fresh out of the University of Illinois at Urbana with an M.S. in music education, Miss Lesh and her college roommate both interviewed for the position to teach 5th and
6th grade general music. She got the job in August 1971, and began her career commuting between Glencoe’s South, West, North, and Central Schools.
She noted the absence of a chorus at any of the schools, vowed to start one, and by the end of her first year had nine girls signed up for her first vocal group. Today, she is Central’s choral director. She has a 5th grade, 6th grade and combined 7th and 8th grade cho- rus, and the 8th grade vocal ensemble.
Known for her sense of humor and cheerful ways, Miss Lesh responded with great enthusiasm to a recent assignment to go out and find a badly needed new piano for Central’s Misner Auditorium. The Glencoe PTA funded the new instrument, and Miss Lesh proudly details the result of her search: “It’s a 1927, 6’4” Steinway that has been totally refinished,” she says with pride. It was delivered the morning of last June’s 8th grade graduation, just in time for rehearsal. “The first time I played it, the entire 8th grade turned and looked at me and said, ‘Wow!’”
Miss Lesh has one other claim to fame among her students (at least those of a certain generation). She’s the first cousin of the Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh, who’s always shown an interest in her music teaching. At family gatherings, she says, “I kid Phil, ‘I don’t go to your concerts because you don’t come to mine’.” http://www.glencoeschools.org/docs/Bull ... ._2003.pdf

Well, that was a really fun first set and I feel great, you guys. I did pull a muscle the other night in Boulder and while I’m fine, I’m going to sit out some of this next set. Hope you guys understand and don’t let the rumor mill make fools of you - I’m not giving up this drum chair anytime soon. See you later tonight.
NFA,
Billy

Just played some Dark Star during the sound check. FWIW.
I’m making an obscure call and predicting they pull out a Minglewood and/or Throwing Stones tonight.

Decent chance tonight's show doesn't happen. Bad weather. Supposed to be thunder (and lightning) storms.
