The anti qualifications and competence sentiments in this thread is staggering.
#Murca - where we’d rather vote for an imbecile with whom we’d have a beer with rather than someone who has and will accomplish something! Proving once again that Idiocracy was a documentary.

i wonder where mich gets his info…
Donald Trump looks to fall launch for 2024, potentially upending midterms
For nearly a year, a kitchen cabinet of Donald Trump confidants have told the former president not to announce his 2024 comeback candidacy before the midterms, arguing that he could be a drag on 2022 candidates and would be blamed if Republicans underperformed.
But Trump has continued to regularly push for an early announcement in private meetings, as potential 2024 rivals become more aggressive amid signs of weakening support among his base. Now an increasing number of allies are urging him to follow his instincts as a way to shore up his standing in the party and drive turnout to help the GOP take over the House and Senate next year...

"I would say my big decision will be whether I go before or after," Trump said in an interview published Thursday, seemingly referring to the midterm elections in November.
"Do I go before or after? That will be my big decision," Trump added, after confirming that he has "already made that decision" when asked if he is planning to run.
Mich, do you still feel like there is no way that Trump runs in 2024?

between whatever value being the incumbent has, and also whatever dumpster fire of dem candidates end up running the primary gauntlet, I feel like it would take something ridiculous for the dem nomination to be anyone BUT Biden.
Same with Trump, except now it really does seem like his goose is cooked. But the thing is, we've said that so many times before.

Wow. That's pretty uncalled for. PDub has never done anything to warrant that type of insinuation.

The knuckle draggers who think Pete is "too weak" aren't voting for any Democrat that runs so it doesn't matter.

No. I know plenty of perfectly reasonable Republicans. None of the perfectly reasonable Republicans I know would make such an obviously homophobic statement.
