Duke has been considered the front runner to most. I think this improves our chances.

Hard to imagine him picking us. He seems like a 1 and done center, and we are likely to have hunter Dickson as a 5th year senior that season

Supposedly Bidunga's people want some sort of guarantee that Hunter will only be in Lawrence for one year...which of course KU won't give.

So we can't recruit any big time freshman centers for next year. I think Hunter has a big season this year and enters the draft after our NC.

Mikey Lewis, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound senior combo guard from Prolific Prep in Napa, California, cut his list of prospective colleges to six over the weekend, according to On3.com.
His finalists are: Kansas, Illinois, LSU, Mississippi, San Diego State and St. Mary’s.
Lewis — he is ranked No. 45 in the recruiting Class of 2024 by Rivals.com, No. 81 by ESPN.com, and No 77 by 247sports.com — has visited St. Mary’s and has scheduled visits to Illinois on Sept. 16 and LSU on Sept. 23.
Lewis, who attended Accelerated Prep in Lakewood, Colorado his sophomore and junior years of high school, previously had Wichita State, Washington, Colorado, Cal, TCU, Syracuse, Colorado State, Wyoming, Arizona State, Providence and others on his list.
Playing for the Oakland (California) Soldiers, Lewis, a native of Windsor, Calif., led all scorers at the prestigious Nike Peach Jam, averaging 23.7 points a game. He hit 35.2% of his three-point shot attempts…

Sounds like one of the under-the -radar guards that Self likes to go after.

Even though everyone is saying Duke, I'm still hopeful for landing Bidunga. Dickinson came here to up his NBA stock. Playing time is here for Bidunga if he wants it.

If Dickinson's ability to guard the pick and roll is what we saw in Puerto Rico, he's going to be here another year because the money here will be better than Europe. So no need for Bidunga.

How? Dickinson will be here
You assume Dickinson will be here, I assume he won't. Difference of opinion. Thankfully we are on the last class that has a "covid year" of extra eligibility.

Where's he gonna make more than 2 million next season?

Maybe that's not his goal. Let me ask you this - would you rather have Dickinson or Bidunga next year? It's hard because you have a known quantity versus a tremendous upside.
Probably what will happen is Bidunga to Duke, Dickinson to the NBA, and we are stuck without a quality starting center next season. It's unlikely that the bigs we are targeting will wait til after the draft next summer.

A 5th year senior all American? Or a freshman. There is nothing hard about that decision
