I fully agree with you that Trump's biggest characteristic flaw is that he is a self-absorbed egomaniacal asshat whose moral code is purely what gets him attention, makes him money or makes him feel good.

Trump is not anti-war. He bombed the fuck out of shithole countries as much as any other potus. (And loosers and suckers be damned)

Trump’s real crime IS what makes him different than other politicians:

While other politicians generally stick to acting for the benefit of evil rich people at large, Trump is more prone to acting for the benefit of only Trump.

That’s why Trump, like every other president, is not being tried for war crimes. But, unlike every other president, he IS being tried over classified shit.

Cuz the classified shit doesn’t benefit the halliburtons, like wars do. Rather, this classified shit was only for Trump’s own lulz.

That, and every other potus has maintained some scintilla of reverence for the office/not stoopid enough to try running off with then not giving back classified shit.

It should not be surprising that the least-prepared, least-principled person to ever fill the big chair was bad at filling the big chair, bad at leaving the big chair and bad at life after the big chair.

It makes me profoundly sad that half of the mother fucking country sent us down a path where the most consequential legal proceeding in the country’s modern history will be the criminal prosecution of a former president, for endangering our and our allies’ national security, and it will be overseen by a joke of a judge (appointed by the defendant) for whom this will be her fifth (5th) criminal trial.

Talk about playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes. It didn’t even REGISTER before now that maybe there should be a rule against a judge having control over a case where the accused was the judge’s appointer.

And yet a third of the country thinks it’s hilarious, all for the lulz.

Lol really.

Can the prosecution ask for a new judge or whatever, on some conflict of interest something?

imo, they'll wait until she shows bias or screws up again like she did twice before, and then consider asking for a different judge. If they ask now and are refused, then they have to try the case in front of a judge they just insulted.

It's also possible that, since they didn't charge Trump with attempting to disseminate classified info in the Miami case because it happened in New Jersey, that's like an ace in the hole if things don't go well in Miami.

Not to mention the potential Jan 6 charges, if any... They just interviewed a couple of republican "fake electors" in DC, this week.

this, to me, is the most intriguing aspect

Of course, it's plain as day (under the judicial ethics rules) that Cannon is obligated to recuse herself. She won't, but it's what the words on the page say she must do.

A. I hope Señor Randall realizes what a huge compliment you just gave him.

B. Is "attention whoring douchebaggery" a federal felony now? Shit is gonna hit the fan if they start enforcing that more often.

Using "thank god" and "joe biden" in the same sentence is special. Doesn't get more contradictive than that

Those numbers are bullshit. The 4 percent inflation rate means, despite the huge jump in inflation we've already seen under joe biden, inflation is still happening, just at a slightly slower rate. After record inflation, prices have not gone back down, but continue to increase, although no longer at record pace, but still increasing steadily

Border crossing down from the previous month.. why? Because after record illegal immigration, of course they would go down. Last month title 42 expired, and we saw a massive desperate wave of immigrants trying to sneak in before it did. Like absurd numbers

Fentanyl seizures are up? Hmm wonder why. Because of a ridiculous amount of fentanyl coming into our country

That's one of those "let's skew these numbers from the right perspective so the most gullible in society (jfish) thinks those numbers represent good things)

Lol. Three short things:

1 - Please think a little on (1) WHY Biden inherited an economy primed for massive inflation, and (2) WHAT exactly you might have a President do about the price of goods and services, and then revisit your point.

2 - Inconveniently for your talking points (sorry!), there was not in fact a post-Title 42 surge: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigr ... -rcna87325

3 - You'll have to walk me through - like I'm five years old* - why it is bad that the Biden administration is seizing more fentanyl than the Trump administration.

* I'm not expecting much from someone who thinks the answer to America's unique mass shooting problem is MORE GUNS.

Here’s a hint on #1 in case you’re stumped. By no means a one size fits all answer, but it’ll start us down a thoughtful path.

Why did Trump take the docs? Why did he show them to people and brag about them? Why did he have an affair with Stormy Daniels? Why did he force himself on E. Jean Carroll? Why did/does he insist that he won the last election and it was stolen from him?

In every case (and every other case as well), his behavior is the result of his preternatural insecurity, demand for constant reassurance, and belief that he is entitled to whatever he thinks will bring him the respect/affection/power he "deserves."

Everything he does is driven by his insecure, narcissistic douchebaggery.

What I just love is that no matter how many times we are correct you just sit there and go fact free ad hominem. I stand for equal justice. Democracy. Jayhawks.

Anyway, Trump was attempting to war in Venezuela as he left office. Ruined the nuclear treaty with Iran. Probably sold war plans that forged an unholy alliance between Saudi Arabia and Iran. And destabilized Europe and accelerated Putin's aggession. We will be lucky to have survived Trump. But we haven't yet. His biggest crime likely will cost millions of lives. He is stupid and evil. It is not either/or.

What's 1/1000th as frightening (but still frightening) to me as Trump - is that randy's last two posts on this thread reaffirm my belief that randy doesn't understand he's a hypocrite and guilty of doing what he finds fault/s in others for doing.

Back to Trump's real crime and breaking down randy's original post.....

I'm going to ask randy some questions.

Who exactly are "The powers that be IN WASHINGTON"?
Name 3 specific things they have done to make "you all" hate him.
What have "THEY" done in succeeding with a lot of you (us)?
Is that really a question - What is really so different about him than any other politician?
Do you actually believe he is "anti-war" and are you capable of comprehending that just because he didn't "start a war" (with/in another country) doesn't mean he's "anti-war"?
Do you actually believe he does not support the "military industrial complex"? That may have been your most ignorant of ll your statements.
Perhaps doesn't "support" endless wars but do you feel killing Soleimani (I don't find fault with that) and his sending troops BACK to the Middle East couldn't/wouldn't have escalated conflicts as opposed to de-escalating them?

And none of that is criminal in and of itself. It is simply the nature/motivation of this particular career criminal. Who gets bolder every time he gets his hands on some power or gets away with one more thing because, you just "can't prosecute a former president". The ultimate get out of jail free card!

The Republican Party is playing this sad anthem to the rubes on a daily basis now.

So maybe the biggest crime here is aiding and abetting the criminal? The Republicans knew who he was and promoted him for the most dangerous job in the world in their craven pursuit of power. And if they weren't sure how dangerous he could be, they sure as fuck know how off the rails he is now.

And yet they still are backing him in their pursuit of power once again. Maybe we should also charge the Republican Party with criminal negligence towards our Republic and the Constitution?
