Chip will be in town for 4 days. He will visit with the locals and take photos. We will work with him to cover the facade of one of our buildings in the middle of "Main Street" with a photo mural. He is just an all around "good dude". If he were an engineer he might have saved the world by now, but alas he is merely a physician. His photos embrace the humanity of economically distressed people and portray the joy of their life. I find his images uplifting. The subjects of his photos seem to feel the same.

Um.
The photos of Alex work I suspect are taken by himself. The other artists probably all employ E.G. Schrempf, who seems to be able to make anything/everything appear to be monumental. My friend Mark who installed "drifting" in Bill's Big Party Garage last year really likes Alex and his work. I have met Alex a couple of times when he installed some pieces in my office for First Friday exhibits a few years ago while he was a student in KC. Defix smoked a joint with Alex on his trip through the Empire and Defix gave him two thumbs up. Mark and Alex will be doing a joint installation in The Grotto and I will withhold judgement until I see the results of that collaboration. We will get better photos of that installation.

Cool!
Yeah I wouldn’t be able to get there til late Friday night at the earliest.
Would it be worth rolling up like 11pm? Don’t wanna keep anybody up just to welcome me. Otherwise, maybe get there late morning/lunchtime Saturday?

I don't get the humor in it, if it's an act.
