Do you drink soda at 7 in the morning?
eat my pound of hash browns and usually between 10 and 20 strips of bacon.
Holy fucking shit

The miracle is I am still alive to talk about it.
Every day, 5 days a week, Cellars Market. Downstairs in the Board of Trade building.
All started when I placed a basic order for bacon and hashbrowns. Got to be buddies with the ladies who served me (handed me my food at the take out counter) and then I started tipping them about $20 a month. Next thing you know, my white styrofoam to go container was FULL of hashbrowns and bacon - every time. They would write hashbrowns and bacon on the container and the cashier assumed it was ONE order of bacon (typically 4 or 5 strips) and ONE order of hashbrowns (typically about a half a pound). The cashier assumed wrong, and I was too big of a (Jew?) to say anything.
Would often eat across from this guy (Rick Santelli) - who some of you may know.

You know, just because all that is in front of you, you don’t have to eat it.

As soon as I saw "Rick Santelli", I thought, you mean the asshole responsible for the tea party?
Couldn't watch the video, can't stand the guy. (Not that he doesn't know his shit), but like Joe Kernen on Squawk Box, which I don't watch because of him, every ___ing thing is an opportunity to go all
us against them. It just gets too old after a while.
10-20 slices of bacon!?

My favorite whiskey under 40 bucks is probably Woodford.
Makers is also solid. Buffalo Trace around there too.
But if Jack or Jefferson's is on sale, i'm fine and dandy with that.
I've grown slightly meh with Bulleit for it's price point.

Same.
If I'm drinking it straight, Woodford gets the job done. If mixing it with coke (the soda, not the drug) or Dr Pepper (the soda, not the poster), then makers is what I typically go with.

In the summer I drink more reposados than bourbons.
Bourbons will be back come fall/winter.

Overrated.
Bulleit's gonna run me 30-35 bucks?
If I can get Woodford Reserve at the same price point or maybe 5 bucks more, no brainer.

More than a decade ago now, I worked on a matter that related to this industry generally. As a gift from the client when it was over, I received a case of Bulleit Rye.
Suffice it to say I do not need to have Bulleit Rye ever again. And that is NOT because I have any left.

I once had a bartender give me the largest glass of Buffalo White Dog Mash ( 124 proof ) on the rocks - said I had to try it and gave me a monster pour.
It was not all that tasty and also, dead.

What’s your guys’s go-to reposado?
Particularly at a reasonable price point.
Think my fave is still Cazadores. With the deer on it.
Also recently had some 1800 silver that was pretty good, particularly with club soda and lime and/or grapefruit sparkling water

Might have to try. I don’t drink much any more either way. But a bubbly citrusy cocktail on the rocks on a warm summer eve is good tho.

Also, anyone fuck with scotch?
Had a few. Some good, some taste like straight bog water and/or brackish salty beach and/or ashtrays and/or cat piss, even if it’s expensive.
Glenlivet 12 is delish tho, even tho I’m pretty sure it’s the basic bitch of single malts.
