We already know that KU will be a contender if they stay healthy. No game results in November will change that. I thought a late January ass whipping in AFH by Kentucky meant that KU wasn't a contender in 2022 but it did not.

I want Hunter to go for 23 and 14 and dominate Cooper Flagg.
I also would very very much like to see him do zero 'look-at-me' celebrations.
Is this too much to ask?

I want to see KJ lock Flagg down and force him into 6+ turnovers.

flag is a freshman. he is also the best player on the court. so he could go either way.

Yes, yes it is "too much to ask", these days.

Christian Braun used to and still does drive me nuts.

Can KJ be effective at limiting flagg? We need him to give us one of those "battle tested senior vs a freshman" type games

KJ called for his 2nd suspect foul, 16 min left in first half.

this is not really Self's style, nor Zach's, and kind of a Mighty Ducks sorta childhood sports movie narrative, but...

Would it be too much to ask Zach to check in mid-first half and give Flagg a couple good honest "welcome to the big boy game" sortsa fouls?

...of course, this also assumes Zach shows up to the game tonight with two sleeves of ink plus some neck tats, cuz he also spent the weekend partying with the Morris twins...

Sometimes in the past the Jayhawks have taken on players who came into Allen Fieldhouse with big reputations (like Cooper Flagg) and underperformed. Names like Seth Curry, Kevin Durant and others, didn’t keep us from winning,so I’m not overly concerned about tonight’s game.

I hope the outcome tonight isn’t shitty.

We should definitely try to score more points than them.
Defend well and rebound the ball.

This game is not in AFH.

Early foul trouble could lead to clemence coming out party. Going off for 4 pts, 3 rebounds

Front court foul trouble would be disastrous for us. Kj HD and Bidunga can't get in foul trouble.

Yea.

I don’t otherwise expect much from Zach. That’s why he’s a good fit for the role of enforcer here. Besides, don’t wanna let all that good fresh ink go to waste.

Yet, I feel like it's going to happen, because, well....Sparko, you wanna take over from here?

The line supports that conclusion.

And we don't have a plan B. Storr/Griffen probably aren't capable of matching up with Flagg as small ball 4s.
