Yeah I deleted mine because I saw you created one. Sorry about that guys!
I don't think it's that cut and dry. I think there's some regulations that so many have to be nominated from each state and/or a state can only have a certain amount type of thing.PhDhawk wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 1:17 pm Yeah, there are probably (I'm estimating) about 80,000 senior male basketball players in the US. So being in that 800 would place you in the top 1% or so of all HS seniors in the country. Nothing to scoff at.
Of course if CnB made it, there are some duds who make it through.
Sure, If you want to do some more complicated math to rectify it, go ahead. My point was there are a lot of guys playing HS ball and not too many get nominated. Pretty far cry from a participation trophy.NDballer13 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 1:48 pmI don't think it's that cut and dry. Oh, I'm not saying it's something to scoff at for being mentioned. Means you're still clearly one of the best in your region.PhDhawk wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 2:59 pmSure, If you want to do some more complicated math to rectify it, go ahead. I mean, there are probably 3-4X more kids on teams that win state championships.
