true...plus a good shock absorber... but it all depends....you've got 15 minutes for somebody to get you pulled back up when your harness or you risk starting to lose blood flow to your legs too much longer and they're goners.
Its also underrated to get them fitted properly.....they gotta be tight and fight right, particularly the leg straps. When I worked on the high rises in Seattle I knew of an iron worker who fell butnitnwas an ill fitting harness....the strap was too loose and the impact of the restraint crushed his testicle. Like, exploded it.
