I would 100% be on board with Enaruna and TGF coming back even after exploring other options.

Yeah.

This off-season in particular has more of a bird-in-the-hand feel than usual.

Howsabout this: just give those guys minutes, even if it means playing through mistakes

(and even if it means taking minutes from Mitch getting manhandled and Och/Braun standing around as we all once again are left wondering whether we can get double digit points by halftime)

There is no way to put a positive spin on this.

Definitely sucks.
He may not had won a starting job next season but looks like patience isn't really a thing these days.

i’m fine with this, so long as replacements are as good or better

imo, Enaruna had his opportunity and for whatever reason wasn’t able to capitalize

i’d love it if all our recruits were successful and nobody wanted to transfer, or was asked to transfer

that’s just not reality though

Is it patience, or just straight talk from coach and/or the writing on the wall?

He could prob start at most D1 programs, but here, he’s behind Jalen and just another guard at the 4, and behind DMac Mitch Sidney at the 5.

The sad part is if he really isn’t able to do more than Mitch (2021 average 3 points and 2 boreds a game) or a juco transfer.

That’s an enormous “so long as,” particularly considering we got a coach literally whining to the media about how recruiting is down

I am admittedly KUBB cranky right now, but I am genuinely curious where these better recruits and transfers are going to appear from and why they would pick KU in the current environment.

is it though, considering the impact Enaruna (and the others) have had?

based on the offers we’ve apparently got out (yes, just offers at this point), it looks like there is at least the potential for bigger impact guys to come in

It's a bit of both.
But if you can't see what persistence and hard work can lead to, then look no further than your cool avatar with his shades on.

Certainly have lost some contributors the last few years and it hasn't helped the team.

Why? We’ve got 900 players to choose from.

I will try the positive spin: The COVID year has provided a unique situation where players in an uncomfortable fit within the program are understandably looking at their options when they otherwise wouldn't/couldn't?

Worst case: Is this part of a larger sign that the NCAA hammer is going to be absolutely massive?

Those two are better options/more talented/athletic than roughly 850+ of them.

Of those 50 or less left, which ones are actually interested in KU? UMKC players excepted?

If that was a worst case, I think you'd have bigger defections than Enaruna who was 9th in minutes, just barely ahead of TGF.

I think we have a shot at Ty Ty Washington - who if he's actually good, would be more of an impact than Enaruna - as we know our point guard situation.

IMO, you’re way too high on Enaruna and TGF...

Aren't they better options than Clemence and Adams, or no players at all?
