Man, this is crazy talk to me.
By all accounts this means the Chiefs biggest rival is the Tampa Bay Bucs when it is, in fact, the Raiders and the Broncos.
Packers Bears?
Nah, not really competing for the same thing. Throw that out the window.
raiders and broncos are competing for conference ‘ships, no?
they also play the chiefs 2x yearly
not the same at all
Kentucky is in the SEC.

We have played Missouri close to 300 times.
It has been a rivalry for over one hundred years.
Because we haven't played in nine years - you just throw out that history?
Then why does this thread even exist - and 10 pages and counting?
Are we going to have a thread this long just talking about our matchup with Kentucky this season?
the rivalry, yes
the hatred, no
like i just posted, if this series continues my view might change. but this was an exhibition game just a couple years ago…

But wait, then how can UK work? We don't play them every single year (historically) and we aren't competing for conference 'ships against them.
Your criteria is inconsistent and your argument is weak.

and?
we compete directly with them for recruits, natties, bragging rights in the Champions Classic, and the all-time wins record
We aren't all required to feel exactly the same about this.
That's fine, but 1 way is reality/fact, and the other isn't.

The Seattle Seahawks were in the AFC West with the Chiefs from 1977-2001. Are they still a rival of the Chiefs?

Champions classic LOL where we play them once every 3 years.
I've heard it all.
100s of year worth of rivalry not relevant. But champions classic that is like 10 years old relevant.
What you're describing isn't a college rivalry in the way being discussed.

We have been playing Kentucky a lot in last decade+. Damn near every year. Certainly more than we've played Missouri.
But, I won't go as far to say Mizzou is not a rival. Way too much history. Just currently, they're not the biggest in men's basketball. Things evolve.
A Vikings-Saints rivalry would have been laughed at 20 years ago--now, it's way more heated than Vikings-Bears. Pats-Colts was huge, and now it's not. Pats-Chiefs was getting there but was too late in the Brady era. Mizzou-Illinois would all but disappear if they wouldn't play each other. It's a snapshot in time.

no, you just lack critical thinking skills and reading comprehension

We should just get back to making fun of them. I'll throw this out there.

No.
Because it was always Raiders and Broncos.
Seattle was never a KC rival really.

Kentucky is in the SEC.
So is Mizzou
LOL.
And?
That doesn't strengthen Kentucky's argument at all.

I think it's a bit telling that the person who brought up that our biggest rival is now Kentucky doesn't care about conference titles and wants college basketball to be professional sport.

That's what college sports are all about! That's what rivalries are about.
You think the yankees and red sox fans only talk shit to each other when both are world champ contenders?
Bears Packers only hate each other when both are good?
LOL.
And?
That doesn't strengthen Kentucky's argument at all.
If Mizzou is considered a rival and is in the SEC then being in the SEC isn't preventing Kentucky from being considered a rival.

Regardless of any definition of the term, I consider KU-Mizzou to be a rivalry that will never cease, at least until Mizzou's ashes have been scattered in the wake of our fury.

I like how Wiff is fine with sacrificing himself to make sure Missouri burns. That's true hatred of growing up in east Kansas.
