Marcus Morris.
I wouldn't have retired his jersey but he was B12POY and a 2nd team AA.
He didn't just have two good games.
DMac didn't just have 2 good games either.

Well, sure, but he never even made 1st team All Big 12.
You're not even a top 5 player in your own league in your peak year and you deserve to have your jersey retired? At Kansas?
Nah fam.

for me it takes more than 1 really good season. 1 really good season seems to be the requirement these days.

I know most will scoff but if it were up to me, I wouldn't retire players jerseys who had only been at KU one season.

If we have some OAD who does go AA/POY/MOP and stuff, I think we could change our tune in a hurry.
Of course, being here just one year makes it a lot less likely that happens

If Ochai was on this team (and Jalen was not) he'd average 23(+) ppg.

Jalen.
20.1 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.3 APG, 1 SPG, .5 BPG, 42.5% FG, 33.8% 3FG, 79.6% FT.
Ochai.
18.8 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 1.6 APG, .9 SPG, .6 BPG, 47.5% FG, 40.9% 3FG, 74.3% FT.
Despite Jalen's somewhat inefficient numbers, he's had the better season, for sure.

Jalen's Crimscore of .694 is juuuuusst barely better than Marcus Morris 2011 ( .692 ) and Devonte Graham 2018 ( .690 ).
