It's GameDay loosers
My 10 y/o granddaughter's homework assignment is to go to a restaurant and figure the tip on the bill. She got to choose the restaurant, the only stipulation is that it can't be "fast food", and she picked OG. (OG is a "fast casual" restaurant.) They're probably going between 4 & 5 eastern, so I told them if we're lucky and KU is getting blown out, I'll join them.

Being a good fan can get complicated.

Did they give her a % to tip? I round up, then figger 10% of that and double. Not too difficult.

I do the same thing you do, 99 - figure 10%, and double it.

As a former busboy in two restaurants, I'd have to see a waiter/res spit in my food before I didn't tip at least 20%.

The assignment let them chose either a 15, 18, or 20% tip. I lobbied for 20% but she chose 18. After she was done I explained the 10% and double it method, and she seemed to get it.

As we stood up to leave, I held back and slipped an additional $5 bill under my plate. (Fucking liberal guilt.)
