Facebook, Google, et al
Re: Facebook, Google, et al
I assume everyone is worthy of respect until they prove otherwise. He never let us know he was a dipshit until he started doing more interviews unrelated to his business a few years ago. But that was still well before the last year or so.randylahey wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 11:33 am I never heard any of you criticize Elon until the mainstream media started telling you he was "bad" and now look at you

Twitter was kinda cool while it lasted.
Re: Facebook, Google, et al
We'll see what it morphs into. It seems dumb to blowtorch a well known brand but if it's not like Twitter doesn't have its issues and limitations. It opens the door for the competition; we'll see if anyone is able to fill the void while Mush tries to figure out how to do what he wants despite hacking his IT staff into bits.

I'm curious as to what date randy feels the mainstream media started telling people Musk was/is bad and on what date he feels people on here started criticizing Musk.
Also, it's funny to me when he negatively accuses people of being woke - and then tells people to wake up.

Wait wait wait. Are you telling me that knowing how to market electric cars to tech execs does NOT make one an expert on domestic and global political and economic affairs???twocoach wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 8:31 amI assume everyone is worthy of respect until they prove otherwise. He's at least intelligent and a conceptual thinker, which makes him more qualified than Trump.jfish26 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:27 amWait wait wait. But he's in that weird spot where he's extremely intelligent and conceptual...but does not seem to have learned to become comfortable and familiar with what he doesn't know.twocoach wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:38 amHe's at least intelligent and a conceptual thinker, which makes him more qualified than Trump.

A massive ego will do that to anyone. The belief that you can do anything is a great trait to have when pointed in a positive direction, but it can have awful consequences when pointed in the wrong direction.jfish26 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:46 amBut he's in that weird spot where he's extremely intelligent and conceptual...but does not seem to have learned to become comfortable and familiar with what he doesn't know.

The mainstream media pounced on elon when he began the process of buying twitter, and more so as he expose big government/big tech collusionRainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:19 amrandy being randy.twocoach wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 8:31 amI assume everyone is worthy of respect until they prove otherwise. Being woke and being awake are 2 completely different things. Polar opposites

Boasting this 'new' free speech platform and then suspending accounts that bothered him is pretty dipshitty.
He's lost a ton of advertising dollars - he himself has admitted around 50% loss - which is billions of dollars, since takeover, partly because of his grandstanding. That seems a bit dipshitty too.

Of course the main stream media "pounced" on him when he began the process of buying Twitter. As they should have. It was master class in how to create a cluster fuck.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 10:16 amThe mainstream media pounced on elon when he began the process of buying twitter, and more so as he expose big government/big tech collusionRainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:19 amrandy being randy.

I don't know how much they pounced on him for his "expose big government/big tech collusion" nor do I know if the majority of what he has spewed is based more on opinion or fact but what I do know is he has a power over people (such as yourself?) who elevate him to God like status and eat up whatever he says and does.

Good grief, it started way before that. Come on. He had been making a fool of himself on twitter for a decade prior to that.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 10:16 amThe mainstream media pounced on elon when he began the process of buying twitter, and more so as he expose big government/big tech collusionRainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2023 9:19 amrandy being randy.

Let me go a step further.
Since this is a playbook he’s run before, my guess is he controls, apart from Twitter Inc., a lot of X-branding IP.
If my investment in Twitter Inc. was a loser, one thing I might do would be to burden it with payment obligations to me even if I sell Twitter Inc.

Re: Facebook, Google, et al
smells kinda grifty
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Facebook, Google, et al
It's pretty much lunacy to just trash the known brand at this point.
He changed the logo to a meme a few months ago for the LOLz.
Trash fire.
