Ren Faire on HBO is kinda fun.
It doesn't do a good job of keeping the documentary fully based in reality ( parts are just so very staged ) but it still works because the edits and pacing and story ( however manufactured ) are good.

Mrs Fish and I inadvertently stumbled into the last several minutes of the last episode on Sunday, waiting for Last Week Tonight.

Lemme tell ya, getting airdropped cold into those few minutes was really quite perplexing.

Especially having taken advantage of Missouri's blessedly-not-insane stance on certain relaxing substances.

Both this and The Leftovers would ( or should ) have won best picture in a different year.

Though I can’t but help but think your previous tirades about the plight of the black college athlete isn’t a bit what this movie gets at.

The new season of The Boys is annoying. If I wanted to go watch people bitch about Trump's Cult members I'd watch CNN for an hour.

Bummer. Just lots of unnecessary current-day buzzwords and topics. Plenty of other crazy ways to go. I watch shows to get away from that shit.

It's been fine so far. Definitely below Eastbound & Down but most shows are. I need to scroll back through this thread and see if there's a good recommendation I'll watch next.

Hannah Einbinder is a great character on Hacks.
Her character, as is often with actors/actresses in initial roles, is very close to her person in reality.
Real life Hannah is pretty obnoxious and I had to turn off her standup special that just released on HBO after twenty minutes - which was probably ten minutes more than I should have given it.

Am I the only person who didn't know that Loraine Newman from SNL is her mother?
