PhD - That song was in my head when I made my post.
99 - I would if I was dating her.
pdub - More like Winona Ryder. Which of course isn't a bad thing. I have a friend who has been mistaken for Winona Ryder multiple times.

Update - The couple who live across the hall from her told me the apartment that she lives in is basically a revolving psych ward. The guy who lived there before her would take acid (LSD) and tell them (the couple) he was on acid and then end up sitting in the hallway and crying. They said it happened multiple times. I never caught it but then they also told me he would cook food and forget he was cooking and they would have to knock on his door because he was constantly burning things. That (the burning food smell) I did notice - at times.
The building security told me today that I need to tell them every time the girl does something psycho because they need to document it. I hate to narc but if and when it does directly affect me - then I will speak up. As I said, I kind of feel bad but I guess I am doing everyone a favor by letting them know.

For some reason I have La Vida Loca stuck in my head. I don't think I've ever listened to that the whole way through ever. Where'd that come from?

EVERY time someone mentions La Vida Loca it brings me back to Puerto Rico 1999.
My buddy and I were in a "local/s bar" wasted on alcohol, weed, and Mandrax.
La Vida Loca was playing and people were dancing, singing, going nuts.
My buddy and I were pretty much making fun of people and screaming Ricky Martin (we were emphasizing his last name being pronounced Mar TEEN). Then we got what we had coming to us.
My buddy stumbled (not surprisingly being that we nicknamed Mandrax - "stumble biscuits"), he kind of knocked over a table, and the next thing you know we had a guy pull a gun on us. OOOPS!
Yes, we took off quickly and somehow survived.
It was a La Vida Loca evening.

Yesterday I had a "procedure" on my back to check for skin cancer.
I asked the doctor who did it if I needed stitches. She said no.
I took the Bandaid off today and it was soaked in blood and I just checked the undershirt I was wearing and sure enough there was some blood on it too.
That's not what is bugging me. It's just blood and it's not still bleeding.
What's bugging me is that when she did it, I couldn't see where the the "procedure" was on my back.
It is basically in a blind spot. I specifically asked if I will be able to get to the "wound" to apply Vaseline and put a Bandaid on it. I was told yes. WRONG!
I had to go buy bandages the size of a baby shoe because a normal Bandaid was all but impossible to properly position. In fact, when I tried to put on the Bandaid they provided me with, the fucking adhesive part stuck to the "wound" and I had to pull it off. That was really pleasant.
Moral of the story is a) Don't be an asshole who gets possible skin cancer and b) If you are an asshole and you do have possible skin cancer, it's a good idea to get someone to apply necessary substances (Vaseline) and bandages for you.

End of vent/rant.

Great question! I asked the same thing.
I was told it keeps it keeps the wound clean, moist, and prevents scaring.
Apparently there is no advantage to Neosporin. At least in my case.

Actually Neosporin is expensive Vaseline. The way it’s used often the therapeutic effect is attributable to the emollient properties of the vehicle of Neosporin, which is petrolatum for which Vaseline is the brand name.

The waxy film cuts off air, moisture and nutrients to any potential bacteria and helps wound healing.
