Biden continues his history of lies. Always trying to take the credit and shift the blame. Its nice to finally see a big tech company call him out and remain unbiased
So, I read your post below this quoted one, so you don't need to tell me the issue.
That said - where's the lie? The crisis line was implemented under Biden (and did not become operational until this time last year).
Seems like a weird (and kinda gross) flex on your end?
Gross? Lol goodness. You're insane. Here I'll show you something gross
Biden constantly sniffing little girls. Creepy pedo vibes
Yes, I think using people who have called a suicide hotline as pawns in a "gotcha, see Trump good" gambit is gross.
But of course this is straight out of the playbook. What are marginalized, vulnerable groups even FOR, otherwise?

2 Questions
1. Did Joe Biden tweet that?
2. Why didn't you take10 seconds to find the link to this -

I suppose YOU wouldn't.
But someone interested in objective reality might make note:
U.S. Transition to 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Begins Saturday
Friday, July 15, 2022
On Saturday [July 16, 2022], the U.S. will transition the 10-digit National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to 988 – an easy-to-remember three-digit number for 24/7 crisis care. The lifeline, which also links to the Veterans Crisis Line, follows a three-year joint effort by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to put crisis care more in reach for people in need. This initiative is part of President Biden’s comprehensive strategy to address our nation’s mental health crisis, and is identified by U.S. Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra as a top priority at HHS. Since January 2021, the Biden-Harris Administration has made unprecedented investments to support the 988 transition, investing $432 million to scale crisis center capacity and ensure all Americans have access to help during mental health crises.
The National Suicide Hotline Designation Act, signed into law after the passage of bipartisan legislation in 2020, authorized 988 as a new three-digit number for suicide and mental health crisis. All telephone service and text providers in the U.S. and the five major U.S. territories are required by the FCC to activate 988 no later than July 16.
[...]
The Biden-Harris Administration increased federal investments in the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by 18-fold - from $24 million to $432 million -- to scale up crisis centers and back-up center capacity, and to provide special services, including a sub-network for Spanish language speakers.
The $432 million included $105 million in grant funding to states and territories, provided by the American Rescue Plan, to improve response rates, increase capacity to meet future demand, and ensure calls initiated in their states or territories are first routed to local, regional, or state crisis call centers.
[...]
FCC staff first proposed 988 in a report to Congress in August 2019 as the nationwide, easy-to-remember, 3-digit dialing code for individuals in crisis to connect to suicide prevention and mental health crisis counselors with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. On July 16, 2020, the FCC adopted rules designating 988 for this purpose. Recognizing the need to better support at-risk communities in crisis, including youth and individuals with disabilities, the FCC adopted additional rules in November 2021 to expand access to this important service by establishing the ability to also text 988.

Americans are still better off, with more in the bank than before the pandemic
Bank account balances are 10 to 15 percent higher than they were in 2019, new data shows
https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... h-savings/
Despite a year when inflation pushed prices to new heights, Americans are still better off now than before the pandemic, with nearly 10 to 15 percent more in their bank accounts than in 2019, new checking and savings account data shows.
However, households are rapidly spending down that extra cash they’d socked away during the pandemic. Median account balances are at their lowest levels in roughly three years and have dropped as much as 41 percent from their peak in April 2021, when Americans were flush with government stimulus money and tax returns, according to a JPMorgan Chase Institute analysis of the bank accounts of 9 million Chase customers.
Taken together, the data helps explain the big mystery behind how the U.S. economy has managed to avoid a recession that many economists had forecast: Consumers, supported by a strong labor market, have been able to keep spending despite inflation and a sharp rise in borrowing costs.
But it also highlights why Americans remain tentative about their economic prospects, particularly as they face higher prices on food, housing and travel. Many have been working through their savings and say their bank account balances are on a downhill trajectory, with little prospect of building them back up to where they were a year or two ago.
[...]
The U.S. economy continues to defy the experts. Even as policymakers hiked interest rates, cooling down many sectors and triggering layoffs across housing, finance and tech, a resilient job market and healthy spending by households and businesses have worked to lift growth beyond what economists had expected at the start of the year.
Americans are far more optimistic, after more than a year of feeling particularly downbeat about inflation and giving the Biden administration low marks for its handling of the economy. Consumer sentiment spiked in July to its highest level in more than a year and a half, according to a closely-watched metric from the University of Michigan.
“Consumers have absolutely noticed that inflation has slowed down,” said Joanne Hsu, director and chief economist of University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers. “The labor market is still strong, incomes are high, and that’s helped support robust consumer spending.”
[...]
Although inflation has often overshadowed pay increases in the past year, that’s beginning to change: Earnings have grown faster than inflation for four straight months. Overall, average hourly wages are up 4.4 percent in the past year, compared with a 3 percent increase in prices in the same period, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

I'm hopeful that part of what we're seeing (in R fundraising difficulties) is simply that people are increasingly not responsive to the culture war gimmickry.

Yes, I'm aware it is his "official Twitter account". I don't know if he actually tweets himself on his account or if he has someone else who does. That's why I asked.
You don't "need" to click on any link I provide to/for you.
Why would you want to (or not want to) click on the link to samhsa.gov? Only you can answer that but I figured you might want to educate yourself. Seems instead, you are staying true to form. Go ahead, keep providing tweets from highly biased sources without checking to see what (if any) actual credibility they have and continue not to bother to check to see if what they tweet is actually true.

The R's have determined they can't win a national election without the grievance rubes showing up at the polls. Nevermind that they don't have deep pockets, they need the votes.
This pandering is starting to alienate the big money supporters. Sure they will get another tax break but the chaos that comes with having a narcissistic lunatic on a self indulgent revenge trip is not really good for business. He is too chaotic and unpredictable. Stability helps sell big shit to consumers. I think the big money R donors would like a little more predictability and stability. When the party runs out of money they are likely to be more inclined to get their shit together and step back from the culture wars and get back to business.

Survey: US Job Satisfaction Hits All-Time High
5/11/23: American workers are more content than ever, according to The Conference Board Job Satisfaction 2023. The report finds improved satisfaction across nearly all 26 components—with gains in non-compensation factors like work-life balance outpacing even those from improved pay and benefits.
Overall, 62.3 percent of US workers were satisfied in 2022—up from 60.2 percent in 2021. That’s the highest level recorded since the survey began in 1987. Satisfaction has now surged for two consecutive years—rising 3.4 ppts in 2021 and 2.1 ppts in 2022. These post-pandemic gains continue a long-term trend: Job satisfaction has been rising steadily for over a decade, after hitting an all-time low of 42.6 percent in 2010 following the Great Recession.
“With unemployment at record lows, it’s a sellers’ market for labor—US workers are reaping the rewards,” said Eren Selcuk, Senior Economist at The Conference Board. “Job satisfaction was up across the board in 2022—and especially high for workers who switched jobs. While a mild recession in 2023 is likely to ease labor shortages and reduce labor mobility, the impact on job satisfaction may be brief and minor: Demographic trends suggest tight labor markets are here to stay, putting the onus on employers to compete for talent.”

Sorry to hear that Gutter. Rent, shelter, has proved to be one of the stickier segments of the economy when it comes to inflation. Rent growth has slowed rapidly, but rents remain high. The good news is that months of cooling rent increases are finally helping bring down inflation in a big way. I know that doesn't help you now, but this is a problem years in the making. As you know, after the GFC at the end of the Bush Admin., where for the first time in over half a century the value of your home lost rather than gained value, the response by home builders wasn't to build single-family starter homes, but apartment buildings where you can pack more people into a smaller space, and luxury homes where the margins are much higher. So, we've had and continue to have a shortage of lower-priced houses and apts., and with a low supply and higher demand...
Fortunately, it appears the chance of a recession, which might serve to temper shelter prices but would certainly be a net negative for Americans on the whole, appears to be waning:
Morgan Stanley has nearly doubled its GDP forecast for 2023.

When you cut the flow of immigrant workers into the country, it costs more to build a building so more builders seem to go to building things that have a higher profit margin in apartments and luxury homes. Thee isn't much money to be made on small single family homes and even less when you have to pay max price to those who build it. Factor in that many building material providers seem to be following the oil and grocery model of pretending there are short supplies so they can spike prices and gouge consumers and voila, the current situation.
