I still, for the life of me can't figure out how in the world the Bills lost to the Jags. Not only did they lose they lost 9-6. That should never happen.
Of course, that has zero bearing on how Sunday night will go.
You take Allen out of the running game. You keep him from being comfortable. The Chiefs were down 40-percent of their defense last time and should be pretty intense taking care of business. Every game now will be payback. Gay spying on Allen and hitting him frequently should be a part of the scheme. #50 is a huge reason for the Chief's turn-around.

Nick Bolton has learned to play in the pros too.
And we have Ingram.

Bills have a better defense than the Steelers. It may be the best in the league.
Fortunately our defense has made significant improvement, especially against the pass.
Buffalo's schedule helped to build the reputation that their defense was the best in the league. Five of their games this season were against teams ranked in the bottom five in the NFL in scoring.
The Bucs, Colts and Titans all scored 33+ on Buffalo. I think KC can score against them if they are patient and their own defense doesn't let them get into an early hole.

With Tampa's current WR/RB situation, I think you have to blitz the shit out of Brady and double Gronk. Make TB beat you with 2nd tier skill position players.
It's Tampa's offensive line health that I think is going to make the biggest difference. Brady can complete passes to anyone if he has enough time. If Wirfs can't come back and they have another player get dinged up them all bets are off and Tampa looks pretty human.

That sounds awfully familiar....
Tampa must be having flashbacks to what happened to KC's o-line last year.

They'd just have to lose four more players...

Romo or Collingsworth?
Joe Buck
And Aikman, by association

Went back and looked at some of the stats from the earlier season meeting. Just based on stats that game should have been closer or the Chiefs winning until you get to FOUR turnovers. 2 Ints (one being the pick 6 off of Hill's chest) and 2 fumbles. Simply put the Chiefs don't turn the ball over they will win on Sunday.

there was a stat graphic they put up last night comparing the defense over the first 6 games (i think) to the final run
Chiefs were dead last in points allowed to start the season, but have been first to end the season (<20 pts/game)
that’s quite the turnaround

Stats can make or break a point depending on how you look at them.
Herbert, Jackson, Allen and Burrow: avg of 33 pts
Everyone else: avg of 16 pts
So yeah the defense did make a huge turn on the numbers but that was greatly influenced by facing teams with injuries, COVID and bad teams.
They also look much better because Juan > Dan, Gay got healthy, Jones moved back inside and Clark got healthy.

So both the Chiefs and the Bills defense averaged 33+ points a game against good teams. So long as KC can avoid the the turnover bug I like the Chiefs chances in a shootout.

Chiefs need a B+ effort on one side of the ball and an A- on the other. Do that and I think KC wins comfortably (9-12ish point victory)

Further going over numbers the Chiefs have an alarming trend developing that in their losses they give up chunk play after chunk play. In their last meeting Josh Allen, passed for over 300 yds on 15 attempts. Dawson Knox, had 3 catches for 111 yards. If the Chiefs can simply keep the Bills in front of them and not give up shots over their heads I further like their chances.
The problem being that Spags is an aggressive man coverage coordinator and I don't like our secondary enough to put Ward, Fenton, or whoever on islands. If they are going to be aggressive like they had better get pressure on Allen or it will be a long night.

Josh Allen is weirdly inconsistent throwing. He looked like he had special powers last weekend against a good defense that let him sit in the pocket. But he makes bad decisions when he has to think. I want him to think there are islands when the peninsula safety fools him.

That was the other thing that I remember from the last match up. The Chiefs got zero pressure on Allen. Hell, the only hit they got on him was a penalty.
He is just like any other QB. You let him get comfortable he will tear you apart. Get pressure, especially in his face he gets uncomfortable.
Really love to see Spags throw in some cover 2, shell and cloud coverages. Buffalo has weapons that can beat man coverage.

Things that happened the last time these teams played..
Dirty Dan allowed Dawson Knox to have 3 catches for 117 yards while playing 100% of the snaps.
Chiefs had 4 turnovers, one returned for a TD. One on a kickoff after a Buffalo TD
Chiefs running backs had 13 carries for 42 yards.
Jones was still a DE and inactive for that game.
Allen completed 7 passes in the first half, for 220 yards and 2 TDs.
Chiefs are much better since that game. Buffalo is about the same. Should be a fun one.

I believe Ward was out (not sure if that makes a difference or not. He isn't playing with a ton of confidence right now. Thanks a lot, Spags.) along with Gay Jr.

Maxx Lepselter, Gay's representative, told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that Gay and the mother of his son got into an argument, during which he broke a vacuum.
If this true, and the only thing that's true (obviously suspect considering the source), the arresting officer should be fired.
