Joel now the official betting favorite to win MVP.

Imagine that Bill Self could have the NPOY, NBA MVP, and a Final Four in the same season. Massive.

What does Bill Self have to do with Embiid winning the NBA MVP?

Oubre 2nd betting favorite for 6th man.

Herro has it locked up, but still cool for Oubre.

Too early for a guttering.

I also looked up the MVP’s since 2007 when the OAD rule was put in place. These are the only college to pro players to win MVP.

Derrick Rose, Memphis
Kevin Durant, Texas
Stephen Curry, Davidson
Russell Westbrook, UCLA
James Harden, Arizona State

Let’s add Kansas. Kentucky doesn’t look like they’ll get one with AD, Booker a long shot to get one. Duke’s chances dying with Zion, Kyrie, but maybe Tatum has a chance.

Right.

He also coached Josh Jackson, Ben McLemore, Thomas Robinson, Cole Aldrich, Xavier Henry, Brandon Rush.........
So does he deserve the same recognition (and criticism?) for their NBA careers - that he deserves recognition (and praise?) for Embiid's?

No rain!
Heck, looking like a beautiful day in Lawrence today. Will be even nicer after a KU win.

Sorry CNB - I edited my post. Decided f*$# Cal! He doesn't deserve my recognition (positive/negative/indifferent) - today.

I would rather watch Andrew Wiggins play the game with a God-given magesterial athleticism than any of the also-ran stat chasers in the NBA. He is what the NBA can be at its best when he is locked in. Versus guys who hammer dudes on layups.

Crazy thought. Wiggins (and Morant) are playing and starting in their first all-star game.
They only need 17 more to catch up to LeBron.
