Good day for Ragans. Timely hitting.

One of the best games of the year. Bobby denied the cycle with an intentional walk. Vinnie gets a three run jack. Playing well. Twins scouted the crap out them apparently

Time to confront those demons with bats. No point getting excited about post season if those guys beat them into a husk. Keeping bats in the lineup and not platooning below average guys is the way to go now. Somebody has straightened out Q on the pen.

So…if Red Sox beat Orioles 2 more, and we beat Reds two more, we are -2.5 to O’s and +4.5 Sox.

If it goes Other way, o’s up 4.5 and Sox down 2.5

I agree team needs to handle own business first, but what would you prefer and think most likely? Catching the O’s or being caught by Red Sox.

Also, I think the Astros are gonna run away with west now. I feel so awful for the M’s.

That poor Reds starter couldn’t even hand the ball to his manager correct,y this evening as he got yanked after 2.1 innings.

Good job so far tonight bats.

And tonight, as it pertains to the Royals, Blanco is Right

I really like Bobby Witt.

Just robbed of a homer by OF jumping above wall to catch. He gives tip of helmet in recognition.

He just seems to do things the right way.

Not a bad Sunday, either.

He’s the 2024 version of Jarrod Dyson.

Under the weather all morning, slept most of it away. Decided to watch ‘14 wildcard game against the A’s.

Such a vivid memory for me.

Q reminds me of 13-14 Yost. Gets us screaming at him, but ultimately the team is good enough to do some winning. I was yelling at the TV when he left a struggling Long in to load the bases and actually walk in a run. Thank God for Erceg. That said, Q has gotten a little better, but that platoon stuff is still straight out of 1963. Melendez and Isbel are premium defenders. They will save more runs than Hampson will bat in. Let them play. RF is an okay platoon location, but maybe Blanco should range there. We could see a nice little run if the Royals can get through the Cleveland/NYY trip without disintegrating.

Yes, the next three weeks are going to be anxiety inducing from a baseball fandom standpoint.

Q leaving Lugo in after the walk in the 7th was pure genius. Yow.

On one hand, the remaining schedule is harder for the Royals than for some of the competition for playoff spots. On the other hand, I think the Royals are better today than they were earlier in the season.

The one thing that is sitting heavily on the back of my mind is that we don't have the tiebreaker over Boston. Talk about anxiety-inducing. No Game 163 to break a tie this time around.
