At this point that'd be like wondering who'd play more as sophomores, zuby or udeh, and if either could play the 4

Fun to get more talent for this year.
What’s this mean for the scholarships?

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
Also, saw a stat:
We’re like 350th out of 355 D1 teams at free throw attempts per game.
Especially for a lineup that tries to run the offense thru the post and score at the rim…dangit

Tiller is not quite as raw as Bidunga. Not quite as athletic (from what I've seen). But he's taller (slightly).randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 7:29 pmAt this point that'd be like wondering who'd play more as sophomores, zuby or udeh, and if either could play the 4

Nothing. I think scholarships go away after this year and there is only a roster limit. We still have to reduce our roster limit by 1 for 1 year as part of the NCAA settlement from what i understand.

Bryson tiller will not play in any game

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
I find it really unlikely that tiller makes much of an impact this season. Between hunter and KJ, there aren't exactly a lot of front court minutes to go around. Bidunga and clemence have a big head start on high school player that isn't familiar with any of our schemes
But, I'm excited to add him. Extra depth, and more importantly, it gives him a huge headstart on next season

Silvio se Sosa was the rare example of a guy that joined at semester and had an impact correct?
But we desperately needed a back up big that season

Supposedly tillers plan is to join at semester and redshirt. So he won't be factoring into the rotation. But that's a huge move for him, and will have a major impact on his readiness for next season
Also will be good for everyone involved having a 6'10 athletic big as a practice body

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
I don't bill self teams ever rank particularly high in this stat. He hates when the ball sticks and teaches his guys to swing the ball side to side. It's hard to draws fouls when you're just passing back and forth
We are particularly bad lately because dajuan is a primary ballhandler, and we know that dude ain't blowing by anyone attacking and drawing fouls

And yet he's attempted more free throws this season than everyone other than Hunter and KJ.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:22 pm because dajuan is a primary ballhandler, and we know that dude ain't blowing by anyone attacking and drawing fouls
That's how bad Storr Zeke and Griffen are are attacking and drawing fouls (so far).

Dang. Disappointed to hear a redshirt, especially for a guy not planning on using his full eligibility. But makes sense.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:21 pm Supposedly tillers plan is to join at semester and redshirt. So he won't be factoring into the rotation. And like you said, a huge advantage for next year as opposed to showing up in the summer.

Yeah self has those guys scared to be aggressive. If they don't attack in the appropriate moment, they get yankedDeletedUser wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:55 pmAnd yet he's attempted more free throws this season than everyone other than Hunter and KJ.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:22 pm because dajuan is a primary ballhandler, and we know that dude ain't blowing by anyone attacking and drawing fouls

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
I can't imagine he is ready to get minutes over the guys we already have. If he's using a redshirt.... might mean he plans on sticking around in college awhile thoDeletedUser wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:58 pmDang. Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
I honestly don't think that's it.
I just don't think Storr is as good as we hoped.
Griffen is just a catch and shoot guy. He's only averaging 1 less free throw per 40 minutes than in his 2 years at Bama.
Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
I'm afraid Storr Zeke and Griffen being bad at attacking may be in large part an issue of spacing.DeletedUser wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:55 pmAnd yet he's attempted more free throws this season than everyone other than Hunter and KJ.randylahey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 8:22 pm because dajuan is a primary ballhandler, and we know that dude ain't blowing by anyone attacking and drawing fouls

Storr never has, hes a volume shooter, mainly midrange, he doesn't like to drive, never has been his forte
Griffen is a catch and shoot guy
I know you want it to be KJ and dajuans fault....but you can't pin it on them as much as you would like
Just Ledoux it

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
There is truth to the fact there is no spacing with dajuan and KJ on the floor. Same issues as last year

Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
Agree.
I'm not seeing massive spacing issues this year.
Do people go under ball screens against almost all of our guys? Yes.
Does that prevent Storr from driving successfully? No.
Re: 2024/2025 Lineup
Whaddya think of the whole “clogged paint” issue, then?
