Thanks. We are on the west side of Tallahassee and even west of Panama City. A good ways from the landfall point and on the west side, which doesn't have that wall of water that gets pushed ashore on the East side of a storm.
Glad to hear it.

Glad you are well.
THEY are sending another manufactured hurricane towards Florida to disrupt the election vote count.
SO UNFAIR!

Thanks, seahawk.
I never wanted to move to Florida in the first place.
"Evacuating" inland 7 miles from the coast to wait this out at my daughter's house. Trying to decide which pictures and papers are the most important to try and save, in the event the storm surge is close to what they're predicting. Totally expect to lose power, the only ? is for how long.

Oct 1 was a 100 degree day in SF Bay Area. Climate change?? Nah……it’s all a hoax.

As you're evacuating, you might want to stop by some store and stock up on many, many containers of handy wipes/soft scrub cloths and bottles of bleach. Even if your local store survives, those won't be found on the shelves.
Have the Waffle Houses closed yet?

Apparently my Mom's cousin lives in Gulfport, FL, which is pretty much directly in the center of the projected path of Hurricane Milton. He's a pretty reasonably minded individual so I assume he heeded warnings and evacuated. Gonna be a rough week down there from the looks of it.
