Watched this Manhattan alien abduction doc on Netflix last night. The bumble babe loves that kinda shit.

The premise is interesting enough - billed as "the most credible alien story ever," it's about some random housewife that says she got abducted by aliens, and like 23 unrelated witnesses across NYC all reported seeing a woman in a nightgown floating out of her window up into the sky.

But then, it keeps leaning way too heavily into the scripted drama and other cliches that every documentary seems to have any more. Over and over, they have some expert exclaim things like, "TWENTY! THREE! WITNESSES!" then cue suspenseful music while zooming in on the expert's incredulous face. Over and over.

They also have details that would be very interesting if they actually explored the details... like multiple alleged alien abductees report having some alien probe needle stuck up their nose. Then one goes to the doctor and gets an x-ray and OMG there's this little something up her nose! But then, they never actually follow up on it.

Do they know what that little something is? Did they try to identify it or remove it or anything else? Was it really something extraterrestrial or did she later fess up to accidentally snorting some foreign object one night on a cocaine bender? Are you gonna go no further than repeatedly cutting to some expert exclaiming, "SOMETHING! UP! HER! NOSE!" then zooming on on the incredulous face over and over? Cue more suspenseful music.

I'm guessing maybe they just didn't get to it yet so they could stretch out the content long enough for a 3-episode series. Maybe they cover that later in the doc, but we didn't get to that yet, we went to bed after the first one.

Been watching "Dear Mama" the Tupac documentary. That man....that man was special. He could've done a lot along more given more time.

Alien Romulus is really good.
What a nod back to the franchise.
Action and space thriller.
