The average age of Congress is rising. That’s unlikely to change soon.

maybe i should be clearer

1) i don’t write for Snopes

2) it’s quite obvious he said something he didn’t mean

3) it’s also quite obvious you care little about the context of what was being said

good job! you got him!

it’s as silly of a “gotcha” as the vladimir/volodomir one

but again, good job - keep up the good fight!

probably should run for senate, hospice is expensive. Then he can have all the best Healthcare available and for free! All while working hard to ensure nobody else can have access to that healthcare without teetering on the edge of bankruptcy.

If you're on Medicare, Hospice is covered 100%.

(And believe me, suppressing the snark in these last two posts, has been a challenge.)

fair enough. Id still wager a hefty sum that their health care plans are fsr superior and far cheaper than most available to me.

But (and this is for another thread and another time), I am more and more convinced this country does everything in its power to make operating a small self owned business as expensive and difficult as possible.

Sadly, no doubt, and more's the pity.

And for the record, as a former partner/owner of a small, independent, medical practice, I agree completely.

But, when we make politicians for sale to the highest bidder, what else should we expect?

"Money = speech", according to the best SCOTUS, money can buy.

While I agree with your overall sentiment, I disagree with the broadness of the “this country” brush. It can be objectively demonstrated that one party wants to make it easier for people to access healthcare the other has been fighting tooth and nail to prevent it. Healthcare costs are among the highest proportion of a business’ expenses.

You can argue that one party has unfavorable tax treatment, but they don’t actively fight the efforts to make people’s lives better.

say all ya want but its all bullshit.

It hasn't even been brought up as a point to address by our current lump of flesh sitting in the White House.

obamacare was more about penalizing those that didn't get insurance from specific places than it was about providing insurance and Healthcare for all and in general wasnt a great program.

sorry but you can't just wave your blue flag and point your finger. (I mean....you can. But you'd be wrong, just like those that wave their magag flags and point. One of many examples of why team gang politics is stupid)

If you think it’s about team gang politics then you completely missed the point. As Feral so eloquently and succinctly stated…..what you believe to be true has not even a scintilla of factual basis. Similar to the opinion about Congressional healthcare.

Here’s an exercise. Take a piece of paper and draw a vertical line down the middle. One each side write down the legislative initiatives put forth by each party in the past 40 years, which were designed to help common people, regardless of whether they were successful.

TDub is implaccable. Divided government has meant some half measures because republicans are not interested in meeting the needs of the populous. But the policies of right wingers have actually brought him his disatisfaction. Using a disparaging term for the ACA, and damning democrats for having to compromise on having something or nothing.

what was my disparaging term? I said it was designed moreso to punish those that didn't enroll then it was to help people. Thats not disparaging, its accurate.

Im not implacable (I know that's your new favorite word, 3 times now....did you just learn it?). I'm dissatisfied. We should be better, my point being each side is so caught up in rah rah team that they dont step back and do their jobs which is helping and representing the people.

Yes the Republicans policies suck and have for awhile. But the democrats are not doing anything to improve anything really...they are weak and they keep trotting out death walkers as their candidates.

Biden vs Trump part 2 is fucking pathetic. Its absurd. I will not vote for either of those 2 . Sorry, I know 3rd party votes are frowned upon here but fuck all that. There is no good that comes out of Biden vs Trump.
