Your brain is rotten with MAGA worms.

A rational person sees preparation for inevitable challenges as something a smart, resourced country would do.

A person with MAGA brainworms apparently sees preparation for inevitable challenges as…stupidly disclosing a plot to foist those challenges on the world?

Im not implacable (I know that's your new favorite word, 3 times now....did you just learn it?). I'm dissatisfied. We should be better, my point being each side is so caught up in rah rah team that they dont step back and do their jobs which is helping and representing the people.

Yes the Republicans policies suck and have for awhile. But the democrats are not doing anything to improve anything really...they are weak and they keep trotting out death walkers as their candidates.

Biden vs Trump part 2 is fucking pathetic. Its absurd. I will not vote for either of those 2 . Sorry, I know 3rd party votes are frowned upon here but fuck all that. There is no good that comes out of Biden vs Trump.
Rarely is the first version of anything the ultimate version. Obamacare gave some more people access to healthcare than had it before. It needed to be tweaked, not gutted as Trump attempted to do. Just about everything out there can be refined to be better. But it is undeniably better than the nothing that those people had prior.

it’s just a continuance of the anti-professional, anti-science schtick that the randys put out there because they just aren’t smart enough to understand the basic principles behind it

it’s why he continues to trot out lab-leak nonsense

it’s why he continued to display his lack of constitutional understanding

it’s nothing more than a transparent defense strategy because he just plain doesn’t understand…in a sense, i kinda feel sorry for him
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Agreed. The best thing you can do after a fumbled handling of a pandemic is to assess what went well and what did not and make adjustments so that you can be better prepared the next time. Anyone who doesn't think another virus that is strong enough that if left unchecked, can explode into another worldwide pandemic will not rear its ugly head some time in our life, is a moron. The whole point of being better prepared is to PREVENT it from growing to a pandemic level so that we don't have the types of problems we just went through.

nah…the best thing to do is dismantle as much of the early warning system as possible

Yet another unimaginably stupid move by Trump.

From last week:

"The Biden administration on Thursday continued its push to drive down housing prices, announcing steps to reduce zoning and land-use restrictions that often constrain housing construction, especially in low-income areas, and better protect renters.

The moves, which will also expand financing for affordable, energy efficient and resilient housing and promote commercial-to-residential conversion opportunities, are part of a big White House push to boost the supply of affordable housing."

The boring policies that don't get the attention of Ousdahl but that help to make a difference in climate change.

Preparation is good you're right. We should be prepared for more government overreach. From a government that does not respect our rights to bodily autonomy. From a government that dabbles with biological weapon research and disguises it as concern for public health

Do you not feel that employing US workers in an effort to detect and address methane gas leaks from pipes and equipment could help the environment?

Republicans concerned with "bodily autonomy"... now here's where an "LOL" would be appropriate.

I've stated this dozens of times. But I am not a republican and I am pro abortion rights. I encourage people not to abort their children unless necessary, but there need to be options

Well then in that, we agree. I hope that no one ever finds themselves in a situation where they feel that an abortion is their best choice but it should be a choice they have available to make. I wish all the money that anti-abortion rights activists and lobbyists spent on getting rid of abortion would go to making adoption or keeping a baby a better option.

Not gonna impact climate change in any measurable (or, frankly, immeasurable) way.
