Not trying to presume guilt here, but isn't this entirely possible? Considering the current climate (and the NFL's very poor track record) I think the NFL will act faster than usual on this on.
All possible.

I tend to think NFL should wait until, at the very least, DA/police get all of the statements from the plaintiffs' lawyer and decides whether or not criminal charges/grand jury are appropriate.

If no criminal charges, I can understand why Watson would be pretty ticked if the NFL acted and messed with his ability and right to defend the civil allegations.

Now at 10 civil suits filed against him.

I agree with your thoughts that the NFL needs to wait until the DA/police get involved. I guess I'm just sort of thinking that that is inevitable at this point.

Wasn't there a six-figure settlement on the table? Maybe Watson should've listened.

Unless there is the unlikely, but possible scenario that the allegations are 100% bogus, it seems the best possible scenario for Watson is that he solicited sex acts for money. Not a great spot.

According to a plaintiff's lawyer, which . . .

I'm curious how the attorney identified all the plaintiffs. Like is this a close knit group (massage therapist in the Houston area) that all just kinda talk to each other? Like it's hard to put out a targeted ad seeking plaintiffs on this one. "Have you massaged Deshaun Watson, and he ejacualted over you, call 555-5555."

I'm sure his phone has been ringing off the hook.

This is one of the more bizarre sagas I've seen. Not entirely off the table that he's just done.

Public figures in a me too era = “now that I think about it, I feel used.” Babe Ruth would have been that Red Sox pitcher before Dick Ruthvin in the encyclopedia.

He is sooooo screwed. I think the Broncos should trade many draft picks for him though.

Kind of weird. It’s been pretty quiet nationally for the most part with this.

"In January of this year, a woman attempted to blackmail Deshaun by demanding $30,000 in exchange for her 'indefinite silence' about what she stated was a consensual encounter," the statement said.

I believe this is Jane Doe #3. They all are Jane Doe's right now.

You have to let things like this play out. Could be the lawyer is just looking for the big payday.

All it takes really is one of the Jane Doe's stories to fall apart and the narrative changes quickly.

I'm not really sure that Watson's people really put a lot of thought into this whole situation.

Not sure how much he makes with endorsements but in a world when a golfer makes a comment to himself after missing a put and loses millions you have assume this is going to cost money one way or another and sending in your Ray Donavon to make this go away even if your totally innocent may have been the right move.

So he acknowledged sex encounters. One less hurdle for the plaintiffs.
