We aren't all required to feel exactly the same about this.
Sure, we can argue about which one is bigger. But if you say UK is not a rival, the program and staff would absolutely disagree with you.
A rival.
Unc duke Gonzaga UK Nova Baylor half the big 12 teams Mich St etc etc etc...dozens of teams fit that criteria.
Rivalry means something different.

Regardless of any definition of the term, I consider KU-Mizzou to be a rivalry that will never cease, at least until Mizzou's ashes have been scattered in the wake of our fury.
Wiff gets it.

Also, although it technically was an exhibition game - the intensity and atmosphere was not anywhere near what you would typically expect of an exhibition:

Self played Cal in two National Championships.
A rivalry is centered on individual coaches and the few games against each other in the last 15 years not the programs 100 year old history.

I can't wait to see who our rivals are in 3 years when those matchups are outside the window of relevancy! Exciting times to be a jayhawk!

That place looks closer to what it did this past Tuesday if it weren't for MPJ. mizzou fans are awful.

My gosh. Self has called it a "rivalry game," but now we're really getting into semantics to make some point.
Didn't you used to be a Kentucky fan? Is that where all this is coming from?
Nope. Kansas fan all my life. Raised in a family of Jayhawks (dad raised in Kansas City Kansas, KU alum, aunt KU alum, uncle KU alum).
But to play along....lets say hypothetically i decided to be a kentucky fan when i was a child....my dad would have kicked me out of the house and disowned me....now lets say hypothetically i decided to be a Mizzou fan when i was a child...my dad would have taken me out back and killed me.

Washburn rivalry dates back to 1906. Mizzou only 1907. Need a Washburn thread.

See the difference?
You were abused as a child, got it. Let me apologize for saying anything mean on here.

Can he do a search for us to find out all the instances of Kansas Missouri Rivalry vs Kansas Kentucky Rivalry?

Have we played Washburn close to 300 times?
Does Washburn reside in a state that was a opponent in a bloody war vs slavery?
How long was Washburn in our conference?
Did Washburn have a group of students with a name that was specific to taunting KU's fans and players?
When we play Washburn, and win, has Bill Self loost his shit, screaming with passion and fury?
Does Washburn have a 12 page thread on kcrim that isn't even a game thread?

you’re better than that, pdub
the significance of that game was beyond any others
that’s like saying the kstate games when they had beasley et al. are indicative of the series as a whole
