Toney and gambling money seems possible.

Chiefs were a Kelce and a Jones away from a W.

Toney cost us between 7 and 18 points.
In a one point game.

That’s pretty much the difference.

The NFL weirdly wanted to showcase its historically worst team against its best on opening night. Just felt like a script tonight

We lost on the line. Both sides. Worked.

Toney was awful in all phases of the game too. Defense wasn't terrible. But Jones has zero excuse.

Chiefs shoulda listened to me and tagged Orlando and signed a FA WR like Hopkins or hell, JuJu. Then either trade Orlando and draft a rookie tackle with that 2nd round pick or hope he plays the season out.

Paying Taylor all that money to play LT — dunno bout that.

but, I thought in football the higher rated team got the calls? Or just in college football and only teams playing against yours?

Refs were fine.
There were a couple late hits on Mahomes not called but we got a good spot on a play and they missed Taylor moving early a couple times.

This loss mostly falls into ( and then out of ) Toneys hands.

I liked the refs tonight. The Lions are the worst NFL franchise historically and were gifted the prime time opener. Just seems like the NFL wants to push them. Toney was just soooo bad.

So we get salary cap relief every week Jones holds out.

If he holds out til week 8, and still wants to show teams he can play, if the Chiefs can go 4-3, you got Jones, and about 8 million in cap to explore a trade for a WR.
