I thought that was already widely known. His campaign is completely based on trying to be Obama, down to the voice inflection.

I think most agree it’s becoming a 3 horse race.

1. Bernie. Always been top dog. Really good at having attacks bounce off. Not my top choice as I think he is too far left for majority of Americans. But has held strong.
2. Warren. Best debater. She thrives in the debates. She’s a step below Sanders in most measures but same in ideals. And I think she’d be a better president than Bernie considering they’re almost the same. But far left again may not work.
3. Klobuchar. She struggles to get words out at times, but speaks well when knowledge is there. As close to middle as any serious candidate it seems. Seems like the neighbor down the street but very smart and not a pushover.

4. Pete just looking in from the outside. Tonight was not great for him. Forced attacks, seemed scripted.
5. Biden just seems out of it. Both in the race and mentally.
6. Bloomberg tried to make jokes but they fell flat. Better than last week though.

Lots of work for Dems to do to even touch Trump in the election. Need to pick a candidate fairly quickly and put all backing into that candidate. That’s their only hope.

When Warren is talking, you can "hear the jury shuffling their feet." The Filibuster, for real?

A health crisis that has potential tsunami-like proportions, the president has fired everyone who could deal with it and spent the health crisis money on his Wall and you're talking about something no one who lives outside the Beltway even understands. If she had advisers that weren't some Harvard/Yale elites, but had LSU or Arizona State or Colorado shirts and ball caps, they might advise her about what to say.

James Carville said she seems like someone who'd rather beat Bloomberg than actually win herself--and I think he nailed it.

He also said this morning that he had hopes for her more than anyone else at the start, but shrugged his shoulders about how she has done. Seems like a reasonable analysis and one it's sad to hear.

Exactly. Why is Warren attacking a guy with no delegates, Bloomberg, instead of Bernie? It might be the the nice thing to do, but it's not what you do if you want to win.

And speaking of Bernie, why is he still trying to justify talking favorably about Castro decades ago, if he hopes to have any chance of winning Florida in the general?

And speaking of wanting to win as opposed to wanting to make a point:

WTF? Yeah, many, many of us want to get the $$$$ out of politics, it's definitely a goal, but until that's a reality, shutting off a source like this entirely is not only dum, it's political malpractice. It's surrendering a whole lot of media exposure and people on the ground to knock on doors, man the phone banks to get the vote out, and make sure people can make it to the polls on election day. Or, put another way, the ability to do what it takes to help you win.

Sander's strategy is/was to motivate huge numbers of "new", mostly young voters to go the polls for the first time because they are inspired by his message. OK, it's a plan. The only problem is, they have a name for people who rely on young voters, they're called "losers". And so far, although we have a small sample size - one primary and two caucuses, that plan doesn't seem to be off to a great start. Winning the electoral college is going to be hard if you've kissed off Florida, and people in western Pennsylvania won't vote for you because you want to ban all fracking. Is there a likely road to victory for democrats that doesn't include Florida and Pennsylvania?

The young people dig burnie because they are young, inexperienced, gullible and lazy.

Those of us that are none of those things, know darn well he will do almost none of what he promises. But the young people lap it up because they don’t know any better.

I was doing some outreach with some young people just last night. We were sharing and one of them said, and I quote, “if we can get that burnie guy elected I will never have to get off my parents couch again. Free health care. Free tuition. Free living wage. Free child care. There will be no need ever to leave my parents basement again.” And I quote. They then all cheered and asked to borrow some money.

Oh, man. I hear ya. Those stupid young people.

(note: very disappointed that a clear "OK boomer" response was here for the taking and no one acted on it).
