5 Grandmaisms for a fabulous Friday.

1. You win some, you lose some. The key is to win more important ones and lose less important ones.
But...... Sometimes the more you win the more you lose and the more you lose the more you win.

2. EVERY Friday should be Black Friday. White Friday too.

3. French Fries.
My guess is they were NOT invented in France, or Belgium, or the Netherlands, or Latin America, or.....
And...... If I take some frozen French Fries and cook them in my oven - there is no worse name to call them than French Fries. A) They are NOT French in ANY way and B) They are not "fried".

4. "Murphy's Law" has NOTHING on Gutter's Law.

5. Yesterday I had one of the best customer service experiences in my life and MANY of the worst customer service experiences in my life. Great examples to me of how some people are awesome and some people suck - without even really trying.
That being said, yesterday I sat in a park where there is a "dog park" too. EVERY interaction I had with a dog was awesome. ALL dogs are awesome. Some more than others of course but they are all awesome in their own way/s.

On #3. Even your frozen fries are blanched then fried prior to freezing.

why is black friday now an entire fucking month

Why does it exist at all? They mark up prices just to mark them down and/or make specifically cheaper products to sell at cheaper prices. Its not a bunch of great deals.

Remember when JC Pennys did away with sale prices a few years back and instead they just offered it at the lower price but without first marking it up to mark it down.

People were outraged and they quickly went back to the old way.

I think people just want to brag about getting a good deal of feel good about it or justify an unnecessary purchase.

Brad has always been a frugal shopper.

JC Penneys. Havent seen one of those in a long time.

A "Brad" seems like the term for a guy who'd brag to you about how he talked a guy down on Craig's list down to $25 from $50 and then flipped it by selling it to some other guy for $100. Brad would let you know how smart and savvy he is what dumbasses those other two schmucks were in comparison.

Lol, so my weed dealer in college was this hippie from Italian class. Weird dude, but had some of the dankest buds in Lawrence. Eventually i introduced him to an friend I grew up with and who became a huge stoner in college. Good guy, but kind of a tricksy hobbit about shit sometimes.

The friend and the hippie dealer were both obsessed with weed, and hit it off.

Anywho so my weed guy randomly calls me one day all like, hey man I got the hookup on some quantity, if you’re looking for a dank ounce (of some goofy weed name - like, blueberry haze or something). I can give it to you for $300.

Couple hours later, the other friend calls me. Hey man, I can hook you up a dank ounce of blueberry haze, and since we’re old friends who go way back, I’ll give it to you for $375.

Total Brad move.

I'm pretty proud of myself this week. I fixed our ice maker. I'm usually incompetent for these things.

Here's the deal-io
We replaced our ugly 1970's vinyl kitchen floor with some nice tile.
When they put the fridge back, ice maker was not working.
I pull it out and find that the water supply was turned off.
Cool, no problem. I got this.
Still, no ice.
Pull the thing apart and see that there is a little tiny luge thingie for the water to flow into the ice maker that is frozen over.
Can't ice pick it out.
I get Mrs 99's hair dryer and go full blast on it.
Ice.
Feeling like I'm not totally incompetent.
