Great stuff, thank you for sharing. Yeah, I remember all the knuckleheaded penalties Kelce used to commit. He was frustrating for sure. Glad he has found a better path for his excited energy than being a ding dong. One of the greatest ever at his position.

Still can't believe we have Kelce, Mahomes, Chris Jones, Reid and Spags together at the same time.

Bills down a starting safety in Rapp -- one, to be fair, has been actually pretty bad in pass defense this season -- so I don't think it's a much a loss if any for them.

The big one would be Christian Benford who is a very good cornerback for them. Still in concussion protocol. I expect they ignore signs that would keep him out in the regular season and he's back Sunday.

Benford didn't practice Friday due to "personal reasons". I don't know about yesterday.
My guess is he doesn't play.

Bishop is the safety who replaces Rapp. Bishop is no Rapp but he's seen plenty of playing time and has faced quality NFL WR and TE.

This made me laugh because watch the first play they show him defending. That's 6 for the Chiefs.
Of course there are plays he shows him playing pretty damn well too.

People do not give the Chiefs defense the credit it deserves. The Texans defense was lights out better than the Bills. The Texans DE's versus our OT's combined with their CB's were a problem. The Bills do not have the same personal.

The Chiefs are home, generally a FG net positive for two teams that are tied at 25.1 points per game when they play. The Chiefs had a better season down more players than the Bills. The Chiefs lost in Buffalo down several players and a Mahomes WTF turnover--his last of the season. They have a rested Kelce, a practiced DHop, a healthy Hollywood Brown, Probably Mecole (their most experienced WR/Returner) Their whole DL now, and Watson back at corner. The Bills should have lost last week but were gifted three gut punch turnovers and a game-ending dropped pass. Okay ESPN. Game on. Spy on Allen.

Counter point: Chiefs fans should be concerned that the media has been working the refs though. The pressure is already on them to overlook many Buffalo errors and amplify any possible Chief mistake. I have never seen such a media frenzy on such limited evidence. No sense trotting out the stats. But Chiefs fatigue is a huge opponent right now. ESPN seems to be pretty comfortable they have set the conditions favorable to the Bills.

I am pretty cynical when it comes to injury reports anyway. Mixon was a great example last week where he appeared stronger than the week before his "questionable" status.

Not the only example, but they describe the roughing flags as "some very bad flags for questionable hits on quarterback Patrick Mahomes." In the description they say the texans defenders actually ran into each other, ignoring that the first defender's helmet went straight into Mahomes'. Even the own description says it's a "very bad flag" for "questionable hits" implying that it was a very bad flag even though they can't justifiably say that the hits were actually clean.

I've hardly ever seen the media pile on with such certainty when the calls were in the gray area at best and justifiable. They also call the PI on Cincy a suspicious call when in the same breath they say the defender got there early, the definition of a PI penalty.

Between that and the announcers AND rules analyst going nuts in the game about the calls, they're building this narrative way more than refs are...

I am confident 99% of the people at the mall MICH goes to have no idea who Nora Princiotti is.

The ref shit, and luck stuff, gets redundant and nauseating but I don't think there is an honest Chiefs fan who wouldn't say luck (heck - bad luck being "luck" too) has played a role this season.
I would have no problem laughing (in a good way) if the Chiefs win 2 more games this season and people feel it's because the refs helped them and the Chiefs got lucky. Fuck 'em - meaning the whiners.

Nora Princiotti was simply the most easily accessible example for me to illustrate what I saw across the media landscape all week including the supposed officiating expert who immediately on the broadcast said it was an inexplicable call (likely influencing all the coverage).

I have no problem saying that luck influenced the season, I do have a problem with people saying the Chiefs get all the calls and and treating that can be called either way as flat out wrong..
