I edited as you posted. Bring on the big rookie while he still has swagger

Sparko wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2024 1:17 pm I like Pratto, but this staff has pushed him backwards. A lot of prospects are deflating. Not sure who they bring up. Might as well bring Castellanos before the coaching ruins him. Seriously though, the Royals need a manager and several good position coaches going forward.
Pratto can really pick it, and Fermin has hit enough that I’m ok with (generally) Pratto manning 1b and Salvy being the everyday DH. If there’s a platoon partner that sits Pratto in undesirable matchups, I’m good with that too.

Loftin. YGBSM. Maybe it's his blazing speed or .199 average.

Q still platooning terrible players into the lineup. Wonder if the Royals could re-sign Hosmer? And Ned.

Key point of the game. Two on two out. Loftin locked up on the only hittable pitch. Strike 3. Real valuable call-up.

Q: three balls with Witt coming up let's put on the hit and run so Garcia can swing at Ball 4. And fly out harmlessly.

100mph stuff with two strikes and Hernandez throws a high slider. Fermin? Sweeney? What coaching. 2-0.

Turned on the Red Snapper by Bobby Shue. Same tune that turned the 2015 playoff game.2-2. Leave in Lynch. Hoping he is fit for several innings

Welp. McArthur. Sigh. Teams jump on Royal breaking balls. There must be a tell. Tiny field beat us or we win 2-0

Q is such a bad manager disguised by a team that has overcome many of his bad decisions, but late in close games he really can't be compensated for. Staring at extra innings, he pulls his most effective long reliever after a third of an inning. And brings in long ball McGhee. Who threw two terrible sliders that the Astros appeared to be waiting for. Because they scout teams.

Dang Ragans . Relax. 8/9 outs via K. Perfect through 3.

Ragans can give you about 85-90 pitches. He comes apart after that. His K rate is awesome but pushes up his pitch count. Houston has had some awesome pitching, but the Royals swing at bad pitches and they know it. They have been gifted some players too. Inexplicably.

This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions regarding this team.

I am hope the pendulum starts to swing the other direction soon.

Picking up some waiver wire deals. Pham and Gurrell. Worth a shot. Gamel has been the difference for Houston. Do not understand how the Royals missed on that
