Isn't worker shortage the same thing as low unemployment?
Not always, but yes, sometimes.
I meant in THIS case.

I kinda feel the same as Elon here...
Except I don't think Republicans are even represented on that line - conservativism is not one of their defining features anymore.

that graphic leads one to think that it’s only the left that’s gone more extreme…not quite sure that’s the case

That graphic is an opinion. Some of you have a really hard time understanding that differences of opinion are normal to have. Some of you think your opinions are facts rather than opinions.

i don’t know that musk is closet pub, necessarily, but it seems pretty obvious that he’s got a skewed view of reality and society
now whether that is the result of his being autistic, or just a wealthy eccentric, who knows…

I think that depends on how you interpret "conservative". I mean, Goldwater was pretty damn conservative, as was Reagan. Then again if you that far back you have to consider the left was FDR and there was a significant Communist party (relative to today)...
If you take conservative to mean whatever a Republican is, throw the whole thing out.

Elon Musk is 100% a republican. Most rich executives are, they just listen to their PR firms and act like they’re liberal. It sells better.

What is even considered a "republican" at this point?
Musk is in favor of universal basic income. That is not very republican.

Musk is a textbook narcissist. Republicans LOVE them some narcissists. They have become a cult which follows narcissists (I can’t think of the guy’s name but he was recently the President…….)

isn't the entire concept of "universal basic income" quite the indictment of concepts like "the free market?"

No (imo).
In the instance I am speaking of, Musk was referencing how many jobs are going to be replaced by robots/technology. When that happens, and it will sooner or later, we will have to adjust accordingly all over the world.
There are certain "markets" which operate most efficiently "free". Others don't. Hard to make blanket statements about a subject as broad as "markets". Lots of things are considered "markets".

That's considered having sex?
Weird shit though.
And if you're going to do weird sexual shit, probably don't have people in the room who will record and leak it.
