The owner of Sharky’s bought it and renamed it Fisher’s. I think I like it, but it’s hard to tell since I’ve only done carry out. Haven’t watched a game and drank about 15 peebers there yet. There’s no other way to evaluate a dive bar.

The food is way better, and they put some cool light fixtures over the bar, and as a whole the diminished stench of urinal is an upgrade I guess.

But, yeah, RIP Crooked Creek! All the history! the ghost of Rosie! And the peebers! I still don’t know how I feel about it. I’m cautiously optimistic, cuz I’m friends with the owner, and I trust her judgement.

Besides, back when going to restaurants was a thing she hooked up my coffee for free at Sharky’s, and I don’t wanna jeopardize that. Next thing you know, I too could be paying $2.75 for drip, and I’d be just another one of y’all.

I hate watching old taverns, honky tonks, and dives die. It feels like the last is dying with them. I like crappy saloons and bars with regulars that jate new customers haha.

Brian Boru - old Irish pub, Silver House Tavern - shit show, sad fishermen during the day, locals drinking the strongest awful well drinks at night, and Three Dollar Dewey's - one dollar looky, two dollar touchy, three dollar Dewey--converted to a nicer spot with the same name.

Me too. 3 years ago, some buddies and I stopped in a remote bar close to Stovepipe Ca. It was remote, kinda clean, but in one of the most amazing parts of the US, Death Valley.

The bartender was totally disinterested in being there, our waitress made most of our drinks (she was VERY liberal with the liquor as a result).

We still talk about how badass that shit hole was.

Bought a small tractor this weekend. Hell yea. Time to get to work and get the pens ready and the ground ready for some food. Been awhile since i had a tractor, gonna make life easier.....and harder at the same time.

i love driving the tractor at my folks’ place

Me too, this is a small guy but will allow me to be significantly more productive
