I think they can drop @ Tech.
But man, it's going to be tough for this team to win @ Baylor and @ OU.

KSU fouls a lot. Really weird crew tonight. I do blame Self for weird strategy in the dismal second half. No flow. Bad closeouts. The game was lost behind the arc. Again. And forcing the ball inside with the grab and maul defense and these refs. After the fifth charge, you need a cleaner strategy

One thing is for sure. They have to win out the rest of the season.
No they don’t. They can afford to lose maybe 2 more at most. kstate still goes to tech, KU, Baylor and a trip to Morgantown that is tough even though they suck.
There’s probably 2 losses there on the road alone.

I bet you 100 dollars they will finish in the top 4.

Vick sure gets a lot of the heat from KU fans, but my goodness Quentin Grimes has been a steaming pile of poop. Garrett needs all of Grimes minutes. All of them.

Kansas State, though, in the biggest game of their careers, didn't look very great. We obviously looked worse, but this thing isn't quite over. We absolutely have to show some life when we get punched in the face, though. This personnel playing this way isn't going to get it done.
I'm just holding out hope that something clicks for Grimes in late February and maybe we have a little bit of fun in the tournament with favorable matchups as a 3-seed.

Meh, you are probably right. We are probably good enough to beat out Texas Tech for 4th.

I think that’s their ceiling. 3 seed and ride favorable matchups to maybe be an elite 8 team.

It's just so sad to even talk about.
At this rate, he competes with any freshman we've ever had as the most disappointing. Selby and Cheick got late starts and Selby even has the injury excuse.

This our worst record after 10 conference games since 1994.

Baylor will fall fast. Favorable schedule thus far. KU will be finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd. No less.

We've been punched in the face 5 times now and keep just standing there watching the next punch come. This team just doesn't have it.
For me, the rest of the year is about watching next year's players earn valuable experience and hoping they pull off a few miracles along the way.

Self cannot put Grimes and Vick on the floor together. Cannot.
Those two take too many possessions off, aren’t active on the glass, don’t really defend well.
It’s just killing us man.

When Self doesn’t have a set 7 or 8 man rotation he struggles. Hence the disparity in minutes between Moore, or Mitch or your five star BIG who some how got a C-DNP. Self has to be just as puzzled as we are with the type of brain dead play on the road.

I'm not sure if McCormack is ready for a game like that.
Maybe i'm wrong but he just seems far too raw.
