I don’t focus on anything. I’m in favor of the college kids heading back to campus and boozing and vaping and fornicating. Far away from their loved one’s.
But they're not. 56% of students attend a local school. And other than a few specific campuses, it's not like colleges are isolated from the rest of the community. They go to the same grocery stores, parks, restaurants as everyone else. And if they did go away to college, they're just near someone else's loved ones.
I'm not even really sure what the point you're trying to make is.
Again, it's not like boozing, vaping, and fornicating are exculsive to college students. In fact, I'm not sure they do it any more than any other age group or more than their non-college peers.

The college towns desperately want the kids back on campus. The schools desperately want the kids back in town. The parents of the students desperately want the kids back, hence the sending of them back.
If you think about it, the internet deviants and malcontents are the only ones that don’t want the kids back on campus.

I’m presuming Trump has recently used the phrase “ internet deviant and malcontent“?

I dunno who the “internet deviants” are sposed to be this time around, but I can at least clarify that “Malcontent” is actually just the name of Mich’s boat.

The wastewater testing thing made the news some months ago now, and it intrigued me. I hope it's being rolled out on a large scale.

The NewtonHawklets start school Thursday. Everyone got a nice little video about what to expect. Temperature kiosks, social distanced classrooms and lunch, specials (art, science, music) all come to the classrooms, but recess will still happen.
Going to be different, but the kids are excited which is good to see.

Had a yellow school bus go through the 'hood this morning. Don't think I have seen one of those in...nine months.

Are more kids/teachers going to die of covid19 or shootings for the 2020-2021 school year?
Sounds like we may have 1st shooting since return to in person learning. In New Orleans. Limited details so far other than a bunch of cops at a school.

Nothing on Twitter about it, and it looks like schools aren't even open in NOLA yet

New Orleans’ youngest students will return to classrooms beginning on Sept. 14, while older elementary through high schoolers will continue remote learning into mid-October at the earliest, NOLA Public Schools officials announced at a Friday press conference.

My favorite is the pregnant denials.
“I didn’t say anything about QAnon, and how “pepperoni and mushrooms” is actually code for Cankles has 8 year olds in the basement, so stop putting words in my mouth!”
